You know what they say about Pour House Trivia: Any team can win on any given Sunday!

I don’t know what’s in the air for this season of  Pour House pub trivia, but Sunday night’s game brought ANOTHER record breaking score, a whopping ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-NINE POINTS by Fisted Sister at Captain Bender’s!

Congratulations – that is ONE HECK OF A GAME!

We kicked things off with Beach Boys and Beards – the Battle of the Brian Wilsons!

Lastly, I’m rooting for Eric Clapton to make it to the coveted Four-Timers Club in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Derek and The Dominoes or John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers needs to make it in there!

Personally, I’d put Derek and the Dominoes in just for the use of Layla in this scene from Goodfellas!

Let’s see how things went Sunday night!

Captain Bender’s – Sharpsburg, MD

What an incredible game at Captain Benders Tavern on Sunday night!  Fisted Sister was firing on all cylinders, and was raking in the two-point bonuses left and right en route to a record score.  They had to hit the final question to do it… and that’s exactly what they did as they set another PHT record with 179 points!  Great job!  Army of Dorkness was making their first visit to Benders this season, and played a game that probably would have won on any other night of the week, as they stood at 166 points BEFORE the final question.  They did have to settle for second place, but not too shabby nonetheless.  Third place was snagged by the Inebriati, who moved up a few spots with the correct final answer.  DON’T FORGET that there is NO GAME at Benders next week, so on April 27th, we will begin with a question on the Three Flavors Cornetto Trilogy.  See you then!  ~ Matt

The Raw Bar – Frederick, MD

Tonight was fun up at the Raw Bar & Grill for trivia! I had a lot of random people at the bar who hung out and played tonight, but it was my core group of regulars who owned the game, going into the final question I had FIVE TEAMS who were within 10 points of each other!

Again, it came down to the wager to decide who my top three teams were, and after the final question this is how it played out… In third place tonight was the Wesley Crushers, second place belonged to Optimus Prime Rib, and winning a second week in a row… The Witiots!!

Excellent job to ALL the players tonight and don’t forget that we WILL be back next Sunday night for our game on Easter Sunday, so if you need an excuse to get away from the family, use ME!!

The winners choice category is “The Grateful Dead” so study up and come out next week to see me!!!
