We’re still a little woozy from that USMNT win, but Pour House still brought you six live trivia games!

Pour House pub trivia‘s Tuesday night is, as always, packed to the gills with six venues hosting LIVE trivia!

I have to say, I’m still a little dazed from that heartstopping win by the USMNT yesterday!

It’s going to be a long wait for that next game on Sunday, so why not play a little trivia this week while you wait?

Check out the Tuesday games!

Champion Billiards – Frederick, MD

Oh man, what a game! Three-way ties all over the place, a tie going in to the final and a tie coming out of the final! Made me work tonight 😉
Once we trekked our way out of all of those ties, it was Wiseacres who were at the top of the heap!
Nice job all – that puzzle page was rough on you, I wasn’t sure you were going to recover.
Second went to Jungle Fever who over estimated Alaska a bit, and it was W who were n 3rd after being the only team to pick up any points on the world capitals question! Impressive!
I will see you next week for a first question of Triple crown, in any sport… so not just horse racing.. Study up!

Cugini’s Restaurant – Poolesville, MD

Thanks again one and all for another great game of live trivia at Cugini’s in Poolesville!
Tonight’s fourth round really moved the furniture around and it was the Murphs that plowed on through for a first place finish!
Give it up to Neverlands as the only team to get the final question, securing second.
Drunk & Disorderly has been turning heads as of late with another top tier finish for third.
Join me again next week, where our first category will be the rock band Queen.

New team If We Only Had a Brain came in second after a tie breaker with A – Triggers.
Next week we are starting off talking about Rhinos.

Jekyll & Hyde Tavern – Frederick, MD

We had a great night of live trivia here at Jekyll & Hyde, and luckily the AC was working full force while things were heating up both inside and outside.
Taking first place this evening, with a dominating lead in the final half were the Know Nothings!
Second place went to Black Steel, coming from the back of the pack in the latter half, and third place went to B Sharp in a tiebreaker!
Great game everyone!
Next week’s first category is 70s Sitcoms, so study up!

Monkey La La – Frederick, MD

Wooh! Man what a game of trivia that went down tonight at Monkey La La. With a backdrop of some very intense soccer games, we all enjoyed a little trivia square off on this hot Tuesday, La La style!
For three rounds it was a horse race – with two-point bonuses going every which way! Then the 6-4-2 hit; followed by round four, and Esophagus Now pulled away from the pack, FTW! Great game Esophagus! And though they wagered ZERO on the final, they were in fact one of only a few of teams to get it!

2nd and 3rd place were the only other teams to snipe Honey Nut Cheerios and a spot on the leader board tonight! Great job and congrats to

Thanks for braving that heat tonight everyone. It was a fun night of pub trivia! And our little after-game was a lot of fun as well. Maybe we can mix it up with some wacky stuff like that more often. Have a great week. Study up on your “African Capitals,” as Esophagus Now has chosen that as next week’s bonus. Til then 🙂 Be well…and stay cool… dg

Ramparts Tavern – Alexandria, VA

Just your typical 14-team Standing Room Only night at Ramparts in Alexandria.  It was an impressive field, but Loser gets North Korea ledt it from start to finish, hit the final, and took home a win.  It took an Alaskan-themed tiebreaker for second place, but Lloyd’s of London squeezed in ahead of Fat, Dunk, and Stupid.  Next week begins with a question on Dictators!  ~ Matt
