This set just seems like one that needs some video and audio…so that’s what we’re going to do!
It seems “Cross Checking” caused quite the ruckus through our games this evening!
I, for one, can’t see how you’d misinterpret that sign!
I can’t be the only one who had the great “Viva, Las Vegas” completely ruined by those Viagra commercials, right? I can’t hear Elvis anymore – I just think of a bunch of middle aged gents playing guitar in the garage!
No slight intended to Mr. Seger, but if we’re going with musical Shakedowns…I’ll take mine with Jerry and Bob!
Tonight at Atlantic Grille in Urbana, we had two of my favorite things – Muppets and plenty of innuendo! I, for one, will never hear the phrase “cross-checking” the same way again 😛
Every team held first place at some point throughout tonight’s game but in the end strategic wagering put Strangers Have the Best Candy on top with Baby Got Pratt and Men & Pausers taking second and third, respectively.
Next week we’re back to my impressions and I’m excited – I’ve been waiting for this one 😛 Break out your corsets and boas cuz we’re going back to the Rocky Horror Picture Show with “Eric is Dr. Frank-N-Furter.” Really, I am. There’s photographic evidence on the PHT website 😛 If I weren’t coming straight from my day job, I’d come in full makeup 😀
Only at Barefoot Bernies can we apparently take a perfectly innocent NHL Rulebook question and morph it into a well of twisted innuendo. A truly bona fide historical night of pub trivia went down at Barefoot Bernies tonight! It was sweet, it was raucous, it had its own plot line and story arc. I grew attached to it, laughed with it, held it, and when it was over, kissed it gently good bye. And I learned a few valuable lessons along the way…
a) the hand that turns in the answer slips, is the hand that rules the world (mmuuhhhhuauhaahauhaua!!!)…
b) I need to either take my self help tracks off of my ipod or DO NOT put it on shuffle while I am on bathroom break…
c) I will never look at cross-checking the same again!
Excellent excellent evening my good friends of WaCo MD. It was one of those games where, at some point, many a team dipped their toes into the First Place pie. However, only one team left with the winning slice. With a nicely timed ZERO wager, “Say Hi to Your Mom for Me” takes down a great win! Great game y’all. Second Place was the Phlitches, who decided to pop their head into their old stomping grounds and have a little fun with us tonight. GG ladies 🙂 And rounding out our Top Three was Too Husky for Sandusky, who grabbed one of the best jump from behinds of the season with a correct pull on the final! Nice nice nice!
That was some good fun tonight everyone. Let’s do it again next Wednesday night. We shall begin that game with a question on “Beer Brewing.” Til then… Cheers 😉 dg
A solid night, as always, here at Bennigan’s. Hot Dog Stigmata, last week’s winners, were playing amazingly well once again. They led the whole night, got the final answer correct, and came away with the win! Congrats. 2nd place went to the 4th Spy who managed to keep off The Usual Suspects, who finished third, in a tie breaker at the end. Thanks a lot everyone, I’ll see you all next week, same place, same time!
I had a great evening filling in for the lovely Ms. Samantha down in the underground!
You guys might have missed Sam, but you treated me just fine – thanks for the hospitality!
We managed to get through a Titanic-related question with not a SINGLE person doing a Jack/Kate impression! I was stunned…But also kind of glad no one fell off a chair.
My favorite wrong answer of the night: Ludwig Spohr…inventor of the Spohrk!
We had to settle third place with a tiebreaker between Grab A Straw, You Suck, and TNC, with TNC taking home the third place prize!
In second were the Witiots!
And your winners this evening…One Crow Short of a Murder! Great game guys!
We’re going to start next week with a great, great film “The Brave Little Toaster!” Sam will return to take care of you!
We had an INCREDIBLE GAME tonight at Fast Eddie’ in Fairfax!! It was an impressive showing all the way through, but the final flipped the whole game on its head!! The result? Our winner’s podium looked a little something like this: third place spot went to Mess & Jegg with their strategic final wager! The second place spot went to our leaders of the evening, Movin’ On Up! Leaders, you say?
How were they de-throned you ask? Because Rosa Parks & Rec came up from behind with a blindsidingly accurate final answer and an all-in wager! so congrats to them for stealing first place!! Their choice for first category next week? LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN See you next Wednesday!
A little rain did not slow down our trivia teams at TJ Stone’s on Wednesday night. A bunchy of teams were clustered at the top of the standings, with Winners in Life taking a slight lead over the pack during round four. It was a tough final, but they were able to take down the final question and hold on for their first win of the season! Great job! Only two other teams got the final correct, and they rounded up our top three: a new team called Please Don’t Make Do This took second, with Trivia Newton John in third. Next week starts with a question on the state of Vermont! ~ Matt
It was a real close one coming into the end of tonight’s game at the Valley Grill Sports Bar, and the final question moved the leader board around quite a bit. Southpaw Fish managed to pull out the win among the stiff competition, with Scott’s Tots rolling into second with a correct final answer! Team LaQueefa made a guest appearance at VG, and finished in third. First category for next week is The Goonies! “Hey youuuuu guyyyyyyyyyyys!”
