Vacation? What Vacation? Get Back to Work… I Mean Trivia!
It’s a rarity to have two straight nights without Pour House Trivia, so it was clear that our weekend players were anxious to get back to heated rivalries and head scratchers! We’re now less than two months from World Series XIV, and teams are jockeying for position near the top of the standings. Who were the top teams this weekend?

Belles’ Sports Bar in Frederick, MD
I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving and thanks again for coming out to Belles tonight for some Saturday Pour House Trivia! Nine teams battled it out tonight over such subjects as franchise restaurants, sweet additives, movie monsters, seafood, and sports rules to name a few. We announced the date for the upcoming World Series so don’t forget to check out the website next week for details. About half of our teams were able to nail “Peter Pan” on the final question, which shifted our standings quite a bit. Here are the results:
First Place: Puerto Rican Ravens
Second Place: And We’re All Out of Bubblegum
Third Place: Cranberry Sauced
Next week’s first category: Pittsburgh Steelers

Pretzel and Pizza Creations in Hagerstown, MD
We had a crazy 4th round comeback by a couple teams at Pretzel & Pizza Creations on Saturday! One team was leading pretty much the entire game, but unfortunately had a ROUGH round 4 and dropped to 3rd. The scores were pretty close by the end of the game, and we even needed a tie breaker to find out who our top 3 teams would be after the final question. Here are your final standings:
First Place: Off Beats (great final round finish!)
Second Place: Give Us Your Beer Money
Third Place: Cobras
Next week’s first category: “Star Wars”

Captain Benders Tavern in Sharpsburg, MD
It was an epic post-Turkey Day game of trivia tonight. We started out with our Winner’s Choice from last week: Full Metal Jacket, and ended the first round with some Animated Characters.
For our audio tonight we were looking for A Word in Common and grilled you on the Films of the 1970s. Our puzzle page tonight had some ghoulishly famous names and a branding brain buster for ya.
The scores were reeeeeeallly close going into the second half of our game! What Else Could It Be?!?! was in the lead as we started Round 3 with Diseases and Disorders and ended with more films (this time of 2016!).
Then, I threw you a curveball for the 6-4-2, Mary Tyler Moore style! Heading into Round 4, Boh’s & Hoes had stolen the lead by a single point, with What Else Could It Be?!?! right on their heels, with Fisted Sister creeping up from behind.
Between NFL Milestones and World Geography, What Else Could It Be?!?! retook the lead before our Final Question on The Animal Kingdom. So who left victorious?
1. What Else Could It Be?!?!
2. Boh’s & Hoes
3. Fisted Sister
We’re OFF NEXT WEEK, so I’ll see you on SUNDAY DEC. 11 and your first category will be LAKES OF THE WORLD! (Bonus points to teams who show up wearing festive holiday attire!)
See you then!

The Beacon in Frederick, MD
We had a great game at The Beacon in Frederick on Sunday night. Outside of first place being a bit of a runaway with, we had a good battle going on for the 2nd and 3rd spots! Most of our teams showed that they weren’t horsing around, and securing the correct answer of Quarter Horse on the final question. Here are our final standings:
First Place: Witiots
Second Place: WaWa
Third Place: Dan
Next week’s first category: Triple 50-50 (Garfield the Cat or Garfield the President?)
