Two different Queens in action on Monday with Pour House Pub Trivia!
Pour House pub trivia‘s Monday did a little Queen crossover, dropping both the legendary rock band, as well as Queen Elizabeth II! We were workin’ so hard, punchin’ our card, gettin’ ready to bring you the best of live trivia action, and we BROUGHT it Monday night! Man that was a crazy night of live trivia at DRP in Alexandria as we packed the house once again! Del Ray Dummies came to play for sure and took first in a tight one. Defenders of the Constitution took 2nd and No Money No Problems nailed the final question to leap into 3rd. It’s always a fun night of trivia at the Roast House, but especially when the House crew decides to jump in and play too! How would they do against the regulars tonight? We’d soon see! Highlights of the Night: Finger wags and slaps on the wrist for Ian tonight; forgot to print out more Big Sheets and ended up having to use some old Game of Thrones sheets to get the job done. He will remember next time! Despite the puzzle page being one of the toughest in recent memory, Multiple Scorgasms managed a staggering 19/20 on the page, when the average was about 11 or 12! Would this lead to another Multiple Scorgasms victory? DCH was at full strength while MS was working as a duo. Yet they were tied going into the fourth round for first place! Who would take the top spot tonight? With a tough final question, we had a last second scoring shake-up! In third place, Multiple Scorgasms! Tough break guys, after a strong night of trivia! In second, jumping up came Chicken Tetrazini! Well done guys, strong comeback! In first, with a strategic 0 wager, Dewey, Cheatum, and Howe held strong! Way to go guys, great game! Season X is rolling right along at our newest Virginia venue, and from the get-go, Week 2 was a two-horse race between the Rocket Surgeons and Liquor? I Hardly Know Her! They traded the lead back and forth during the first half, but a slew of two point bonuses gave the Rocket Surgeons a commanding lead heading into the final. They could not pull away with a 12-point lead, and so when they could not come up with the final answer, it was Liquor taking down their second come-from-behind win in a row! She Left took third to fill out our medal stand for the night. Next week begins with a question on the Washington Capitals! ~ Matt
