Tuesday Trivia Will Never take Your Freedom!

Thanks to a combination of five new venues and an abbreviated schedule for the remainder of this week, we welcomed a record number of teams to Tuesday’s game of Pour House Trivia!  Across the board, 148 teams took in a game at one of 20 venues:

FIRST ROUND:

Opening round topics from Tuesday night included the current hit song “Thank U, Next” from Ariana Grande, the Boston Beer Company, and this Dr. Seuss character:

Lorax

Sixteen teams began their night with a perfect first round score.

SECOND ROUND:

Tuesday’s audio question featured the film work of Julienne Moore (“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2”, “The Big Lebowski”, and “Hannibal”.  We continued with a look at the rotator cuff, the USS Missouri, and this fictitious film:

Entourage Aquaman

Twelve teams ran the table with 36 points in the second round.

HALFTIME:

Tuesday’s halftime round featured featured ‘snippets’ of photographs depicting U.S. landmarks, while the bottom half asked our teams to name the eight most visited American websites.  As with any list question, identifying most of the answers is easy, while identifying ALL of the answers is incredibly difficult.  Such was the case tonight, as we witnessed a relatively high overall average of 17.3 points, but only ONE team earned a perfect 20 points: How Did I Get Here? (Greene Growlers).  Here is Tuesday’s halftime leaderboard:

THIRD ROUND:

Our second half began with a Three Clues question concerning the U.S. Poet Laureate, before moving on to topics such as the film “Casablanca” and the classic rock band Fleetwood Mac.  We closed the the third stanza with the most difficult wagering question of the night:

–> Founded in 1865, what university is the youngest of the eight members of the Ivy League?

Only 23% of our teams arrived at this correct answer:

Cornell

After a slew of perfect scores in the first half, the only team to post 36 points in Tuesday’s third round was Half Nelsons (Buffalo Wild Wings).

FOURTH ROUND:

After opening Tuesday’s final round with questions regarding Jerry Rice and “Hawaii Five-O”, we reminisced about this Presidential gaffe:

Nine teams closed their game with a perfect fourth round.  These were your highest scoring teams heading into Tuesday’s final question:

TUESDAY’S FINAL QUESTION (76.7% success rate):

–> For the 700th anniversary of his execution, the double-handed weapon used by which historic figure was sent to New York in 2005 to be used in its annual Tartan Day celebrations?

About three-quarters of our teams responded correctly with William Wallace.  Congratulations to the eight teams that notched the Perfect 21 on Tuesday with correct answers on all wagering questions.  Here is your final Tuesday leaderboard:
