Tuesday night saw us preparing to batten down the hatches, but we still got in a heck of a round of Pour House pub trivia!
It looks like we might be hit with another big blanket of the white stuff, but Tuesday night still brought out many teams for a round of Pour House pub trivia!
It might be cold outside, but it’s always warm when you’re in good company! Read on for a full recap of the evening!
Champion Billiards – Frederick, MD
So, did you hear? Apparently there is some snow or something coming…
Champions got their trivia fix in early, before the warnings and watches spun out of control and they definitely put on a hot game!
Grab a cool coke (or pepsi) and check out these standings- It was Thundercats in third tonight, they were back up in numbers but a little short on chick flicks.
Second went to our ever-ready W, they hang back and they wait, much like that cupid fellow I hear stories about! But also like cupid, they always seem to find their mark.
First tonight was a hotly contested spot, but largely due to a helping hand from a Russian pepsi bottle memory- the gentlemen of Wiseacres reign supreme tonight!
Nice game! I will see you after the snow and love fest to start out with Beatles #1 hits.

Cugini’s Restaurant – Poolesville, MD
Griff’s Landing – Frederick, MD
A close round of trivia all night at Griff’s Landing, and we learned oh so much. We did have some disbelief tonight, mostly around these facts:
Contrary to popular belief, a date IS in fact a fruit!
Chinese Checkers has NOTHING to do with China!
On to the round: Beer is Good pulled away with some smart wagering in the fourth round, and took home first.
The Know Nothings held tightly to second place all night, and finished there as well.
You and Me hung close for all four rounds, and took home third.

Hollywood Casino – Perryville, MD
Jekyll & Hyde Tavern – Frederick, MD
Monkey La La – Frederick, MD
Ramparts Tavern – Alexandria, VA
After setting attendance records each of the last two weeks, the players at Ramparts decided to go for the hat trick, and for the third week in a row, we had a record crowd, as 17 teams filed in for another clown-car edition of Pour House Trivia. It was anyone’s game, as all of our top teams were just a few points apart all night. Sorry Folks, Park’s Closed had a very impressive first half as just a duo, but they were part of an epic bar-wide failure on the 6 – 4 – 2 question, which allowed Ramparting Ways to take the lead heading into the final round. They kept that lead until the final question, but were unable to get the correct anwser, which allowed the Stamp Collectors to come from behind and steal the win. Second went to We’re Not Porn Stars Anymore, with Whatever in third. Next week starts with a question on Olympic Hockey. By the way, Coca-Cola was invented in Georgia. ~ Matt
