Tuesday nights and Pour House pub trivia go together like peanut butter and jelly! OK, if we’re being honest, pretty much every night is the perfect night for a game of pub trivia!
Fun facts of the night:
We let the Brits tell us how hot and cold things are!
Beware of spontaneous human combustion, drummer friends!
Ciabatta? That’s Italian for French bread thievery!

We had a nail biter of a game tonight- teams were on the tippity top of their game… No mistakes were tolerated tonight if you wanted to be in the top 3!
Speaking of top 3…. 3rd went to the steady and solid Castaways, 2nd went to (I love it when this happens!) 2nd place!
And our grand poobah’s of the evening were the oh so wise gentlemen of Wiseacres. Not bad, not bad at all. 🙂
I will see you next week for a first question on baseball of course- The Negro League specifically. Brian finally gets his baseball question!
I tell you the competition at Cugini’s in Poolesville is very evenly matched, I can’t wait to see how Season 9 shapes itself as we get closer to the World Series!
MoMo was the victors tonight, making their move late in the game for a first place win. Neverlands has built a strong team, and maneuvered well to pull into second.
Give it up for Polar Vortex for their first top tier placing at Cugini’s.

It’s been a little while since we saw some teams but we had a good game tonight!
Team Freedom took the top slot with 156, and If We Only Had a Brain, and Floppy Jalopy flip flopped for second place.
In the end it was If We Only Had a Brain who took second place with 150, and Floppy Jalopy came in third with 142. Next week stay tuned for another round of Harry Potter trivia to kick things off!
It was a crazy night of trivia at Jekyll & Hyde tonight, with scores jumping around all across the board.
We learned a lot about Jimmy Hoffa as well, thanks to our (unofficial) cohost! At the end of the game, We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat took third place, squeaking in with a correct answer for the final!
Second place went to The Wesley Crushers, and first place went to Cranius Maximus!
Cranius Maximus has chosen WWII History as the first category for next week! So study hard and we’ll see you next week!
Every now and again the stars line up in a certain way and the energy at La La trivia night is such that we have a nice chill game of pub trivia with no tasteless double entendre, no raucous answers, no one antagonizing the host and everything goes just like a nice smooth stream…well…TONIGHT WAS NOT THAT NIGHT BABY!
Woo Hoo…no sir! We had ourselves a rowdy one – Monkey La La style!
Congratulations to Army of Dorkness on taking down that well earned W. 13 tough teams battled for that spot. That win was a juicy one! 2nd Place went to the three wise gentle men over at Sleepy Blue and our leader board was rounded out by fine crew over at 3rd Quarter Nosedive! Great game tonight everyone.
Remember next Tuesday is La La Fat Tuesday Trivia Party; and prizes will be awarded for best dressed and some other stuff as well. Have a great week and we will begin that game next Tuesday with the category of “Final Fantasy 7.”
After a few weeks out of the winner’s circle (and several team name changes), our defending Season VIII house champions finally got their first win of the season on Tuesday night, and hopefully that means they will be sticking with the same team name next week. On Tueasday, they were going by Fat, Drunk, and Stupid is No Way to Go Through Life, but no matter what they are called, they beat 15 other teams in a great night of trivia at Ramparts. Second place went to We’re Not Porn Stars Anymore, with Sorry Folks, Park’s Closed rounding out our top three. Next week starts with a question on the history of Alexandria, VA.
