The Happiest Tuesday Trivia on Earth!

Tuesday’s game of Pour House Trivia welcomed 101 teams across 13 venues.

Tuesday’s opening round began with its most difficult bonus question, as only 11% of our teams knew that India was the world’s largest producer of bananas.  Later, we looked at Olympic relay races, U.S. geography, and these animated characters voiced by Eddie Murphy:

Eddie Murphy

Thanks to the first bonus question of the round, only two teams began their night with 36 points: Rehab is For Quitters (Greene Growlers) and E = MC Hammer (Quincy’s South).

Spoken word audio questions tend to be more difficult than music questions, especially when the voices of celebrities are placed in an abnormal context.  Such was the case on Tuesday, as we played clips of celebrities making guest appearances on “Sesame Street”.  Only 14% of our teams earned bonus points by recognizing the voices Patrick Stewart, Robin Williams, and Nicole Kidman.  We continued with a question about the recent collaboration between these two musicians:

Kesha Macklemore

After closing the round with a look at the Oscar Wilde play “The Importance of Being Earnest”, only one team earned a perfect second round score: Prestige Worldwide (Greene Growlers).

“Family Guy” parodies was the subject of Tuesday’s halftime page, which featured an average score of 16.5 and eight perfect scores.  Here are our highest-scoring teams from Tuesday’s first half:

Tuesday’s third round included questions concerning philosophy, post-Impressionist painters, and #1 hit songs.  We took a trip to the Far East for this question which proved to be the most difficult wagering question of the round:

–>  Since it was the sixth company created by Anthony Wood, which digital media company is named for the Japanese word meaning ‘six’?

With just 17% of the field earning points here, the only perfect score of the third round was turned in by Wiseacres (Champion Billiards).

Final round topics include the Cincinnati Bengals, the political exploits of Kim Kardashian, and this copyright symbol:

In a shocking result, only four teams across the board knew that this symbol represents the copyright for an audio recording.  Needless to say, we did not see any perfect scores in the final round.  Here is your overall leaderboard after four rounds of play:

TUESDAY’S FINAL QUESTION (22.6% success rate):

–> Which western U.S. locale ranked #1 on the list of the Most Instagrammed Places in 2017?

About one-quarter of our teams answered correctly with Disneyland.  None of our teams earned the Perfect 21 with correct answers on all wagering questions.  Here is Tuesday’s final leaderboard:
