Take Off to the Great White Wednesday Trivia!

Wednesday’s game of Pour House Trivia welcomed 94 teams across 13 venues.

FIRST ROUND:

Opening round topics from Wednesday’s game included friend chicken restaurants, Ellis Island, and this musical instrument:

Nine teams swept the first round by scoring 36 points.

SECOND ROUND:

Wednesday’s audio question featured the recent tribute song performed by Adam Sandler in honor of Chris Farley.  While virtually every team earned wagering points on this question, only five teams tacked on two bonus points by also knowing that the song was originally performed on the Netflix comedy special “100% Fresh”.  We continued with a look at Shiatsu massage, the Cuban Revolution, and this documentary film:

Thanks to the first bonus question, the only perfect score of the second round was posted by Franconia Hair Cemetery (Quinn’s).

HALFTIME:

Wednesday’s halftime round asked our teams to identify TV show titles starting with “A”.  Four teams turned in a perfect halftime page, while the overall average reached 16.4 points.  These were your highest scoring teams at Wednesday’s halftime break:

THIRD ROUND:

We kicked off Wednesday’s second half with a rather difficult three-part question about novels with the word “Lord” in the title (“Lord of the Flies”, “Lord Jim”, and “Little Lord Fauntleroy”).  Things eased up a bit during questions about the ABC islands, breakfast cereals, and the hit song performed by these two singers:

None of our Wednesday teams posted a perfect third round score.

FOURTH ROUND:

Our final round began with a look at the incredible winning streak (which is still going) on this game show:

We also discussed the Inca Empire, grammar, and athletes named Murray.  Six teams closed their night with a perfect fourth round score.  Here is Wednesday’s pre-final leaderboard:

WEDNESDAY’S FINAL QUESTION (57.4% success rate):

–> Though Finland claims to have more official lakes, it has been found that what nation has more than half of all the natural lakes in the world, with a whopping 9% of the country covered in fresh water?

Just over half of our teams responded correctly by heading north of the border with Canada.  Congratulations to The Dog Ate Our Team Name (Quinn’s), who posted the only Perfect 21 of the night by answering every wagering question correctly.  These were your highest scoring teams at the end of Wednesday’s game:

In an interesting coincidence, The Dog Ate Our Team Name (Quinn’s) has scored exactly 170 points in each of the last three weeks!
