Bunkers – Leesburg, Virginia

Great game of live trivia here a Bunkers tonight, with a lot of twists and turns on the leader board! The Indians were our winners tonight with a pretty hefty score, with Cake or Death nailing the final to take 2nd! It was The Thundercats that held on strong and finished in 3rd. Our first category for next week is 1960’s Decade World Series! ~ Ronnie

Champion Billiards – Frederick, MD

It may have been a scary “hint of the day” image but I think I want to become touring pro at belly flop competitions now! Apparently, its a thing! What a game of pub trivia we had tonight at Champiopns Billiards! Goodness! I mean, seriously, that one was for the record books! The “last word, first word, ” might be my favorite ever – tough indeed, but a good one that was a game changer for sure! Homer Simpson made a cameo in a critical 6-4-2 and the Don Quixote final sealed the deal! It was anyone’s game at any point. When that point emerged, it was Phlitches who earned the W tonight for their efforts! GG Phlitches. Fish Market – Alexandria, Virginia

After one of the most crucial last words-first words questions we’ve seen in a while, the game got completely flipped around. Two Birds One Stone was dominating for most of the game but after the fourth round they fell back a bit and left the gate open for the win to be stolen by the other veteran teams out there. Taking it down tonight, after bailing on their friend last week, was Boner Garage, back in pro form! Congrats guys! 2nd place went to Gone Squatchin’, returning after a short hiatus, who won a tie breaker over last week’s winners You’re Killing Me Smalls, who took 3rd. Thanks a bunch everyone! We’ll be back next week. Same time, same place. Until then 😉 1st Place:     Boner Garage 2nd Place:    Gone Squatchin’ 3rd Place:     You’re Killin’ Me Smalls Next week’s category:     The Staff of Fish Market

Guido’s – Frederick, MD

A touch chilly outside tonight but we had a stellar contest with 6 teams battling it out in some pub trivia Guidos style! Thanks everyone for coming out to play. It was a nifty set of questions that challenged and boggled many a mind tonight, mine included! And the cold beverages helped the fun as well. Congratulations to our Top 3 tonight. It is never an easy feat to win at Guidos, so great work! 1st: 3 People Who Have Never Been in My Kitchen 2nd: Stink Floyd 3rd: The Better Team Enjoy the weekend everyone. Next Thursday, Season 10 continues. And we will kick that one off with a question in the category of “Health-Goth,” – definitely a PHT first! See you then. Jon

Main Street Oyster House -Bel Air, MD

Tonight at the Main Street Oyster House had a few veteran teams, a few new teams, and a virgin host (me). There was some pretty tight competition throughout the evening, but all 6 teams stayed tough through to the end!  That last question was a killer and no one got it right, so we had a TON of lost points. After some quick math, the winner was Clever Team Name followed by Team Nigel and the Pharmers, who are serious players. See you next week, when our first category will be: NHL. ~ Maynard

Quincy’s – Gaithersburg, Maryland

Needless to say, it was an interesting evening of trivia at Quincy’s, as one question changed the entire scope of the game.  I won’t repeat the question, but let’s just say it involved a certain U.S. state capital.  One that (apparently) no one really cares about.  Anyway, that question tripped up a lot of teams, but not Lowered Expectations, who used the boost to cruise to a wire-to-wire first palce victory.  I Just Quizzed My Pants took second, while Not As Smart As We look took third.  Next week begins with a question on “The Simpsons”.  ~ Matt
