Pour House Pub Trivia: Memorial Day Monday Edition!

We’re closing in on the WORLD SERIES of Pour House pub trivia!

Monday kicked off our run leading up to the playoffs, and in two weeks, the granddaddddddy of them all, the WORLD SERIES!

I hope none of you slogged through the nightmarish Memorial Day traffic over the Bay Bridge (I know I did!), but if you did, here’s hoping it wasn’t too much of a struggle!

Dan’s Restaurant – Boonsboro, MD

I suppose Monday night was our ‘Surprise’ edition of Pour House Bar Trivia, but we got a chance to meet some new folks as we gear up for the Season IX Post-Season.  Congrats to our winners tonight Big Test Icicles, who chose the film “That Thing You Do!” as their first category next week.  Good luck to all of our teams in the playoffs this weekend!  ~ Matt

Del Ray Pizza – Alexandria, VA

A wonderful night and good closing to the Memorial Day holiday weekend with a round of pub quiz at DRP in Alexandria!

Octopocalypse was our holiday game winners, with Misfits finishing in 2nd place.

Del Ray Dummies took down 3rd place tonight at a solo act! See you Sunday at the playoffs, and of course next Monday night.

Our first category will be the Human Skeleton.

 Greene Turtle – Hagerstown, MD

We had an interesting Memorial Day evening at the Greene Turtle in Hagerstown! So much so that we decided to switch up the format a bit in favor of a winner take all situation! It was exciting and made things a lot more interesting for the teams that came out!

il Forno – Frederick, MD

 Memorial Day craziness brought 11 pub trivia crews out to il Forno-licious this fine evening for some fun! We had a guest host/ player/writer/all-around good dude, Mr. Bill Patschak, craft up his own set of trivia and host it tonight. And it was fantastic! Cheers and loud outbursts every other question. A little smack talkin’ and some good ol’ Memorial Day good times! Thanks for coming out and playing tonight everyone – was good to see you 🙂 We also amped up the prize booty with a little cash splash for the winners tonight.

3rd Place: Hump n Dump

 

I do believe the category for next Monday is “Famous Flowers” but I am confirming that Tuesday. If this changes, I will make the edit – so check back 🙂
