“Porcine Kleptomania,” “Shepherd’s Pie,” and “99 Red Balloons” – my favorite portions of the night at tonight’s live trivia game at Champion Billiards – each for different reasons obviously. Porcine Kleptomania has a fun ring to it. Shepherd’s Pie is a dish I’ve always wanted to try but never have and 99 Red Balloons brings back memories of middle school; mostly good ones 🙂
Props to Horseshoes and Hand Grenades on a wire to wire win tonight against a tough 15 team field.
2nd Place went to the Phlitches, who played as a trio tonight! Good Game ladies and gent!

Tonight’s game of live trivia had a bunch of new faces, and some of our veteran teams too. Leading the pack tonight, for the win, was You’re Killin’ Me Smalls! Good game guys! 2nd place went to Oscar Meyer, 3rd place went to Humantaray. Great to see everyone tonight! We’ll be back next week!
Tonight may have been the fastest game of live trivia I’ve ever hosted at Guido’s Speakeasy, but it didn’t lessen any of the drama with a tie for first place after the final question!!
Tonight in 3rd place was T.N.C.! Fighting for Champion of the Week came down to a tie between Esophagus Now! and None Pizza with Left Beef. After the tiebreaker question the team in 2nd place was Esophagus Now!, and back in the winners circle this week was obviously None Pizza with Left Beef!!
They chose “Grateful Dead Song Lyrics” for next weeks winners choice category, so study up, and I hope to have an EPIC Thursday night trivia game next week!!

Yet another packed house tonight at Quincy’s in Gaithersburg, as 17 teams rolled in for a great game of trivia. We leared that apparently, there is a nursery rhyme character named ‘Tom’, and that as a young teenager in the mid-1980s, I must have been slightly more enamored with a certain British pop singer than the rest of you. Anyway, it was a close game all night, but I Just Quizzed My Pants proved their mettle by being one of just two teams to get the final, and they took their THIRD WIN IN A ROW! Great job! Blue Collar took second with Lowered Expectations in third. Just a few weeks remain in the Summer Fling season, so we hope to see everyone back next week when the first catgeory will be the Montgomery County Council. Seriously. ~ Matt
