Pour House pub trivia’s Thursday covered three men in a tub, pomp and circumstance (OHHHHH YEAAAAAAHHHHHH!) and so many isms I can’t even list them here! I can’t hear about “isms” without thinking of this great scene from Ferris Bueller. Always fun to work great movies into the blog! It was good to be back in my stomping grounds of Leesburg!

I assume you all missed me whilst I was on the beach, because that was a very uhh…warm?… welcome.

I’ve never been asked to do THOSE particular things while hosting trivia, but whatever floats your boat, I guess?

When the game finally shook out, it looked like this.

In third, Cranius Maximus, followed by Team Spam, who edged them by just a single, solitary, point.

The Thundercats were UNDER the player limit this week, and brought that titular THUNDER with them!

They took home top prize, and have chosen SPACEBALLS: The Movie, not to be confused with the lunchbox, air freshener, or perhaps, flame thrower!

Tonight’s game was RAGING! Lots of new trivia players, always good to welcome them in! Rising to the top was our veteran teams however. Boner Garage led it most of the game but due to a defensive wager on the final question, they ended up taking 2nd place tonight, giving up the W to You’re Killin’ Me Smalls! Way to go guys! 3rd place went to a hard fought game by Sic Semper Tyrannis. Next week begins season 10! Come on out, we’d love to have you!!!

Guido’s – Frederick, MD

It was a fun game of trivia at Guido’s in the last week before season 10 starts. I even had some visitors I haven’t seen in a while! It was a tight game between the top 4 teams most of the night and after the final question I still needed a tie-breaker question! Once that was answered, this is how Thursday night ended… winning the tie-breaker and finishing 3rd was my fun visitors The Phlitches! 2nd place was bittersweet for T.N.C., because jumping into 1st after the final question and winning the last week of the Summer Fling season was None Pizza With Left Beef! Of course, next week is the first week of the new season and your winners decided that the first question they wanted was going to be about “The Young & The Restless”. (yikes) So study up and I hope everyone’s back next Thursday for week 1 of the new season!! ~ Jon J

Tonight’s top teams were Cup Chick Minus Pete- coming in 3rd place! Nothing shakes their positive attitudes.

9 years got comfy in second place but maybe learned to gamble a little more on the final question? You never know, it could be someone you know! And Clever Team ame maintained their hold on 1st place. Don’t get too cozy! You never know, didn’t Newton say something about gravity too? Two Week’s from now we will discuss the Atlanta Falcons!
