I Wish They All Could Be Weekend Trivia…

Last weekend’s games of Pour House Trivia welcomed 38 teams across four venues.

First half topics from last weekend’s games included the classic sitcom Three’s Company, the Cy Young Award, the NATO Phonetic Alphabet, and the recent record-setting kicking of Baltimore Raven Justin Tucker.  Our audio questions featured music groups with military names and piano cover songs.  Across the board, six teams earned a perfect first round score, but none of our teams could duplicate that feat in the second round.  Here is last weekend’s halftime leaderboard:

None of our teams managed to post a perfect score in either of the second half rounds last weekend.  The most difficult wagering question of the weekend was asked to being Saturday’s third round, as none of our ten teams knew that the Candela is the official SI unit for luminous intensity.  Meanwhile, the first question of Friday’s second half included its most difficult bonus question, as only three Friday teams knew that Jesse was the name of Elvis Presley’s twin brother who passed away during infancy.  After four rounds of play, the overall weekend leaderboard included these teams:

FRIDAY’S FINAL QUESTION (75.0% success rate):

  • Among the U.S. states that are home to at least two NFL teams, which state is the most recent to join the Union?

SATURDAY’S FINAL QUESTION (66.7% success rate):

  • Chalk is a form of what type of sedimentary rock?

The respective correct answers to these final questions were California and Limestone.  None of our weekend teams posted a Perfect 21 by answering all 21 wagering questions correctlyHere is your final weekend leaderboard:
