I can’t believe we got more snow, but the Sunday Pour House Pub Trivia action was hot and heavy!
March 17, 2014
First, have a nice brunch. Then, add a round of Pour House pub trivia. That’s a recipe for a perfect Sunday!
Fun not-so-true facts of the night!
- Ernie’s follow-up to “Rubber Ducky,” was a thrash-metal version of “Walkin’ on Sunshine.”
- Pope Francis, much like Oprah, plans to grace the cover of each and every issue of Il Mio Papa (it also includes a pull-out centerfold in every issue. That part IS actually true!)
- The original lyrics to “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” originally included lyrics about a singing, dancing troupe of homeless people, which makes a lot more sense once you know its origins!

Captain Bender’s – Sharpsburg, MD
We had a great pre-cursor to St. Patty’s Day tonight at Captain Bender’s in Sharpsburg!! Our top three prizes went to some festive and feisty teams: in third place was Cranius Maximus!! In second place we had Fisted Sister!! Our top spot was reserved for the ever-dedicated INEBRIATI!
Their choice for first category? (St. Patrick’s Day) See you next Sunday! ~Torie
The Raw Bar – Frederick, MD
We had a possible historic night here at the Raw Bar and Grill for trivia tonight! The winter weather scare kept some of my teams away, but it was a visiting team that stopped by and either TIED the highest score ever in a game of Pour House or GOT the highest score ever in a game! (I’ll have Denny look into it!) In third place tonight was the Witiots, in second place was Optimus Prime Rib, and winning the game tonight with an astronomical 175 points… T.B.H.!!! They chose the film “Beverly Hills Ninja” for next weeks winners choice category so study up and I’ll hopefully see all my regulars back next week for some Pour House sexiness!! (Mad respect, T.B.H., mad respect!) ~ Jon J
