How Pour House Live Trivia got its Monday recap back!
Pour House pub trivia‘s Monday night had five venues for you to wrinkle your brain at!
We had a little Big Ten action (can you still call it the Big Ten with that many teams?), visited our old pals the J. Geils Band and lastly, discovered “How Stella Got Her Groove Back,” which, to my understanding, was mostly due to the hot young thing she was taking up with!
Check out the games!
Del Ray Pizza – Alexandria, VA
We had a number of new faces for live trivia in Alexandria tonight, one of them being the winning team, Siracha Sixers. Great job!
MSC was our 2nd place finishers, with Del Ray Dummies nailing the final to take 3rd.
Our first category for next week is “Dog Breeds”

Greene Turtle – Hagerstown, MD
We had a great night of live trivia at the Greene Turtle, with eight teams vying for trivia supremacy!
There were only a few joke answers submitted tonight, as most teams were laser-focused on taking home a prize.
But we did have a great wrong answer for our final, which was Shakespeare’s lesser-known “Romeo and Juliet and Romeo.” You may have seen some adaptations of that on your late-night cable channels, depending on what channels you have access to!
We’re Just Here for the Free Water had the highest score, but were unable to take home the top prize, playing over the player limit.
In first in the legal teams, It’s Just Toothpaste.
In second, Complicated Tax Return!
And in third, rounding out the podium, Cotton Candy!
Free Water may have played over the limit, but they were still able to choose the first category, which will be Icelandic Pop Music. Yeah, I don’t know either.
See you next week!

Roast House Pub – Frederick, MD
It must be near the end of Summer Fling because Roast House was packed tonight with travelling teams looking to pick up those crucial last minute live trivia points!
Who would emerge victorious in pub trivia tonight? We’d have to go through 4 close rounds to find out.
My musings as to Peter Wolf’s prowess at the French Horn failed to impress, but trip over one long word and it’s hilarious. *Sigh*
Spider Kelly’s – Arlington, VA
The crowds get larger each week at Spider Kelly’s in Clarendon, and in our third week we had an incredible finish, as round four concluded with a THREE-WAY tie at the top of the standings! Unbelievable! Only two of our top teams could come up with the correct response on the final, and after a Brett Favre-based tiebreaker, it was a Stupid Bunch of idiots who scored the win! Sorry Folks, Park’s Closed took second, with Korner Bar in third. Next week begins with a question on Goldie Hawn movies. ~ Matt
