I hope every one had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! Now that the holidays have come and gone, it’s time to get back to the trivia grindddd which is exactly what happened tonight! Fish Market returned tonight with our weekly live trivia game!
Oscar Meyer was our veteran team playing tonight and completely dominated the competition, winning pretty convincingly! 2nd place went to a new team calling themselves Levski, 3rd going to M+M! Good to see new faces coming out and playing! We’ll be back next week, same time, same place!! Until then guys 😉
1st Place: Oscar Meyer
2nd Place: Levski
3rd Place: M+M
Next week’s category: Chicago Bulls
The next winner’s choice category chosen will be “Stephen Colbert!!”
Happy Holidays to all our teams and I’ll see you back at Guido’s next week!!
~ Jon J
We started the new year with a great turnout, with several new teams in the mix!
The new teams struggled a little to put up solid scores, but they all hung in until the bitter end, and one of the new teams, the A**holes, managed to take second place. sandwiched between two veteran teams: Clever Team Name who was first, and team 9 years, who took third.
Tonight’s final question illustrates why its important to pay attention to all of the info in a question. It mentioned the year 1986, and Ronald Regan. Those two parts of the question would have made it easier to guess at the answer. While its true that sometimes that extra info is just added for fun, sometimes it can be a vital clue!
Also, our winner “Clever Team Name” is an NHL expert. He wanted to choose NHL hockey for the winner’s choice, but that what he’s chosen a few times in the past, so I vetoed it! He chose “The Winter Classic” instead. I feel like he just got one over on me….
Happy New Year from Main Street!
Your first round category will be University of Maryland Football! Study up guys, and have a great game! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Nappy New Years, all that jazz, and we’ll see you next time! Until then, Ian
