Pour House pub trivia wants to be sure to wish a very happy Memorial Day to everyone, and a special tip of the hat to our Veterans and their families. Thanks for your sacrifices for us and everyone.
I spent my weekend on the beach, and I am fried to a reddish crisp.

Belles’ Sports Bar – Frederick, MD
It was the season finale for the Saturday night crowd at Belles’ Sports Bar, and even after four months, the House Championship would come down to the final game of the season. It was a great performance turned it by Smells Like Team Spirit, but they could not cap off their game with the correct response on the final question, and so it was W who swooped in for the last win of the season. If It’s Not Scottish It’s Crap took second, which clinched the House title for Season IX, and Wiseacres took third. Don’t forget the Maryland Pub Crawl culminates at Belles’ next week, so our Winner’s Choice category is in effect in two weeks (June 7), and that catgeory will be tehe film ‘Office Space’! ~ Matt
Captain Bender’s – Sharpsburg, MD
Sunday night at Captain Benders in Sharpsburg closed out Season IX, and even though Fisted Sister had already clinched the House Championship, we still had a very competitive game for our regulars. Let’s just say tonight’s set gave teams a preview of what to expect in the post-season… Anyway, after some discussion on the final question, Fisted Sister was able to come up with the correct response and hang on for the win, with Inebriati taking second and Almost Mensa in third. We will have a game next week (June 1), and our first question will involve the ‘Alien’ film franchise. ~ Matt
The Raw Bar – Frederick, MD
What a fun night for our last game pub quiz in Season 9 at Raw Bar & Grill! I think I had more visiting teams in than my regulars tonight!
The top three spots had a good amount of turnovers and flip-flops with some teams tonight, but this is how things ended up… Finishing in 3rd place was one of of my regulars who made it to the World Series… The Wesley Crushers!
In 2nd place was my House Champions for the second year in a row(and it came down to the WIRE!), good luck in the World Series… Optimus Prime Rib!!
My winners tonight were a visiting team who just dominated the second half of the game, fantastic job on 1st tonight… T.B.H.!!!
They decided on the movie “3 Ninjas” for next weeks winners choice category, and GOOD LUCK to all the teams in the play-offs this Saturday!
