Pour House pub trivia is very sad to see the 2014 demise of the USMNT, but what an extra time rally by both squads!

We may have had to lick our wounds after that showing, but we had a slew of live trivia games happening to make you forget about that

Champion Billiards – Frederick, MD

Oh man, what a finale in tonight’s round of pub trivia!

Just when you have written them off- teams stormed the top three like teenagers at a One Direction signing.. it was the new to us Browncoats who took third tonight, after a geographically challenged tiebreaker- you have no idea.. lol.

Second went to Doomed, and first went to the indomitable Wiseacres!

They had such a rough game but an amazing final and that can make up for a lot!

I will see you next week for a first question on Mr. Belvedere, the tv show- not the movie 😉

Cugini’s Restaurant – Poolesville, MD

Tonight’s final turned the entire game of pub quiz on its ear at Cugini’s in Poolesville!

Neverlands nailed the final and took down 1st, overtaking MoMo who finished in 2nd.

The Murphs were our 3rd place finishers.

Happy 4th to you all, and join me again next week where our first category will be the US state of Maine!

Hollywood Casino – Perryville, MD

Bar trivia was smoking hot tonight, lots of new faces and lots of tough questions! Great final round.

Team Shinanigans came in first place with 125 after being the only team to get Pride and Prejudice. If We Only Had a Brain took second with 116, and American Outlaws slid in third with 113.

Look for a revolutionary winner’s category, we will be talking about Famous Revolutionary War Battlefields next week.

Jekyll & Hyde Tavern – Frederick, MD

We had a great game of pub quiz at Jekyll & Hyde tonight, despite the US loss in the Round of 16.

Taking third place tonight was Brownie Points, playing without a few key players for the evening.

Second place went to Black Steel, playing a solid game all night, and first place tonight went to the Know Nothings, rocking it all night to sail right into first place with ease. Great game everyone!

Next week’s first category is US National Parks, so go visit one this week and we’ll see you next Tuesday!

Monkey La La – Frederick, MD

La La was nuts tonight!

A lot of new teams came out and threw down against some La La home teams in what proved to be a great game of pub trivia. A handful of us were a bit energized from the World Cup match that just ended and parlayed that into some good times!

Congrats to Esophagus Now who came out of the gate strong and didn’t let up until the final. Good news for them though, the final was a tough one and no one in striking distance pulled it out. Esophagus Now for the win! GG ya’ll!

2nd went to The Illuminati, who played a great game and stayed in the top pack throughout. Nice work ladies and gents 🙂

And taking the 3 spot tonight was no stranger to a Top 3 spot – STDB! GG my friends.
