Even with the Pour House Trivia Playoffs and Pub Crawl taking part on Saturday, we still hosted games on Friday and Sunday nights.

Vanish Brewery in Leesburg, MD

We were back at it with Pour House Trivia tonight at the Vanish Brewery on this beautiful Friday night!

Highlights of the Night:

In “Crossing-Wavelengths”: For the Czech Republic question, everyone clearly had it in their heads. But one team tragically crossed it out for Belgium. And two teams got even closer, but put Czechoslovakia, which no longer exists. That’s just heartbreaking, and it showed on their faces

In “Remedial-Spelling-Needed”: Hygienic and Dumbbells both bit teams in the butts tonight. That darn hidden I in hygienic and extra b in dumbbells both snuck past a lot of teams. Looks like we’re gonna need to watch the Spelling Bee when it comes around!

In “Trimming-the-Fat”: The “F-A-T” question was probably the trickiest of the night for my teams, even after the 6-4-2 browbeat some of them. The hits kept coming and didn’t stop coming, right up until the end.

When all was said and done, our top prize tonight went to We R Out! Congrats guys on a well-earned win! When we reconvene in two weeks, we’ll kick things off with Latin Phrases! Study up, and we’ll see you next time!

Tilted Kilt in Frederick, MD

We had one team just completely BLOW AWAY the competition at our Sunday game at the Tilted Kilt!  They did have the other teams helping them accomplish this feat, as every other team that was playing missed two or three of their bonus categories throughout the night!  I’ll be the first to admit though, the second half of the game was a LOT tougher question-wise.  After we reached the final question and the answers were turned in, we had one last surprise happen and change our top 3 teams to this…

Dropping to 3rd place was our season 15 house champs Duchess! (they were missing a couple of their players which kinda hurt them, I think) Making the big move to jump from 5th to 2nd as one of only two teams to get the final correct was the Survivors!!  With a 42 point lead over the team in 2nd was our 1st place winners, the Trivia Knight!!! WE WILL BE OFF NEXT SUNDAY for the World Series game, but when we come back in 2 weeks, the winners choice category will be the animated series “Justice League Unlimited”, so good luck to all in the World Series, and I’ll see everyone back at Tilted Kilt in 2 weeks!!
