Tonight we had a veteran team come in for the first time in a while and completely blow the place away. Silent Titty Deadly Bang played as a trio and put on a pub trivia clinic, snagging the victory tonight! 2nd place went to Piggy Doodles, 3rd place going to MC. Hopefully, STDB will be back next week to defend their title where our first category will be Celebrity Pets! Hope to see you all back! Until then 😉

Roast House Pub – Frederick, MD

When I tell you it was packed in the Roast House tonight, I mean it! With some MIA teams returning and a few new ones joining the fray, we had a fierce battle for the top spots of live trivia tonight! Highlights of the night: In the category of “My new favorite joke answer”, there were repeated appearances from the talented Actor/Singer/Whatever Hugh Janus. He’s quite talented, it would seem! For the first time all season, all three Dewey teams were in attendance, which meant Battle Dewey took things to a new level! Which Dewey would emerge the best? In tonight’s episode of “Mildly Interesting” every single team put a different answer for what they thought Der Spiegel meant in English. Either the bar needs collective German lessons, or German should stop being so weird. Either one is fine with me! The final was a battle of defensive wagering, and correct answers were crucial! In third place, leaping over several teams with a correct answer, came Spring Break Frederick! Way to stick with it guys! In second place, with the safe 0 wager, and overall Dewey winner: Dewey Cheatum and Howe! Great game guys, well played! But the house juggernaut kept on rolling tonight, with a correct answer on the final to boot: Multiple Scorgasms takes it down again! Congratulations, ya punks! For their first round category next week, they’ve decided to class things up a bit, and go with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart! A fine choice. Study up, and we’ll see you guys next week! Until then, Ian

Spider Kelly’s – Arlington, VA

Another great game tonight at Spider Kelly’s, as we welcomed eight teams to our weekly Monday night trivia throwdown.  Eleven is a Prime Number was back with the full squad, and it paid off nicely.  They missed an early five-point bonus, but was able to ‘scramble’ back into a tie for the lead (sorry….) as we entered round four.  They were the only team to get all three NFL teams on the final question of round four.  Those two points cemented their victory after they came up with the correct response on the final.  It’s their FIRST WIN of the season at our new venue!  Great job!  In second we had Liquor? I Hardly Know Her! followed by Team Vietch in third.  Next week begins with a question on the city of Austin, Texas.  See you then!  ~ Matt
