The home of…well… Champions had one reigning supreme champion for the night, but let me tell you- it was a hotly contested spot! I even had my Tibet tiebreaker all ready…. I don’t know how I didn’t have to use it! That final definitely shook some things up and what it really shook up was The Cha Cha’s right on up in to third place!
Second went to the audio conquering We Made a Huge Mistake and first went to those wiley Wiseacres! Nice game all! Thanks for your patience and we will have it all sorted out and ready to roll next week when we start out for a first question on P.T. Barnum. Take care of yourselves. ~Samantha
I for one thought Axis & Allies was a more well known board game, but I guess I was wrong. We had a great game of trivia once again at Cugini’s in Poolesville. Neverlands got out ahead early in the second round and never looked back, taking down our game tonight. Several teams made a great run for first but it was MoMo who landed in second, and Belligerent Midgets for third. Our first category for next week is wine. Cya then! ~ Ronnie
New week, new champs! If We Only Had A Brain took the top slot tonight with 163, but Breakin’ Winz gave them a run for their money at 162, and Team Freedom rounded out third with 152. Tune in next week for Baltimore Stars Football in our winners category.
We had an intense game of trivia at Jekyll & Hyde tonight, and everyone was fired up from the nice weather!
Taking third place tonight in a tie breaker went to ThunderCougar FalconBird! They edged out We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Boat for the third place slot! Second place went to Brownie Points, due to a wagering choice on the final that kept them from taking first place.
Taking charge and ending up on top were The Wesley Crushers, with their first ever PHT first place finish! Great game everyone! Next week’s first category is going to be Biological Chemistry, so study up and we’ll see you next week! – Brad
“You might think it’s foolish, this chancy rendezvous…You might think I’m crazy, but all I want is you!” And while I am thinking about it…RoboCop CAN NOT beat Rocky Balboa in a fight – there I said it Detroit! Oh snap…What now? What?
My peeps over at 3rd Quarter Nosedive put on a lil’ pub trivia clinic tonight at Monkey La La in Frederick, MD. From the Cars straight on into RoboCop for the win! Good game y’all! Second Place, however, was a touch more contested this evening. Spoony Richards and Master Debaters had to go head to head on a Goldfish tie breaker (really though…is Finn a Corey Hart fan and that’s why he sports the shades?) to decide that spot.
And in the end it looked like this:
1st Place: 3rd Quarter Nosedive
2nd Place: Spoony Richards
3rd Place: Master Debaters
Top 3 Not so Fun Facts tonight:
1. Spelling doesn’t count, but if you spell Bradley Cooper as “Jonah Hill,” I can’t accept it
2. I am NOT, in fact, a sightseeing stop nor am I a tourist attraction on any (that I know of) Maryland endorsed sightseeing tour :/
3. Just because your name is Kim, that doesn’t mean you will get the answer right if the answer is “Kim”
Thanks for hangin’ tonight everyone 🙂 Lotsa love…have a great week and I look forward to our game next Tuesday. We begin with “Pizza Toppings.” Til then…
At Ramparts in Alexandria, it looked like it was going to be a two-team runaway as Stamp Collectors and I Wish I Was Between Two Ferns were tied after three rounds, well ahead of the rest of the pack. But an interesting 6-4-2 question changed everything around. It could not have been any tighter at the top of the standings after round four, as our top three teams were separated by a mere two points. With every team going for the full boat on the final, it was We’re Not Porn Stars Anymore that held on for the win, followed by Two Ferns in second and Stamp Collectors in third. We’ll begin next week with a question on Spinal Tap! ~ Matt
