Pour House pub trivia‘s Wednesday night had Wisk, Whisks and at least one Single White Female!

Read on to see who made it!

Atlantic Grille – Urbana, MD

Wow, what a night of pub trivia at Atlantic Grille in Urbana! Thrills, chills, and come-from-behind victories! Tonight we discussed two broke girls mixing their Wheaties with their mamas’ toe jam, The Fox saying “GIMME DEM GRAPES!” (mystery solved!), and Kermit the Frog storming the Bastille with Johannes Gutenberg and 50 Cent!

It all came down to our final question tonight – changing the destinies of all our teams (so epic!).

Strangers Have the Best Candy took 3rd this evening with Men & Pausers in 2nd. Tonight belonged to Momzilla, who celebrated their very first PHT win!!!

Next week’s winners’ choice category is Dayton, OH. See you next week!

Bada Bing Baby! Barefoot Bernies trivia night was a rockin like Ms. Piggy and Kermit at a Muppets cast party! It was back to school day in Haferstown and we certainly learned some lessons ourselves – we just get to do it while having a few beverages along with 🙂
– Porcine Hotty is not a term of endearment, UNLESS you are of course…

– NEVER EVER do a 4th clue in a 3 clues 1 word, especially if the answer is  “BUSH” (this can only go bad places)
– We each have our own interpretation of what moral we learn from stories like “The Fox and the Grapes”

Great times tonight at trivia night in Hagerstown this evening! Thank for coming out and playing some everyone. The game was certainly up and down, in and out and quite jazzy. Then that final hit! And we did it all again! That’s always fun 🙂 Congrats to our winners tonight on a game well played…

The Cellar Door – Frederick, MD

Holy hell, I love this bar!

So many high points tonight- they just can’t all be mentioned. If you’re not here for live trivia, then you just don’t know. It was a battle tonight, as it always is underground.

The Witiots made a guest appearance this week and managed to slide in to 3rd by the end. 2nd went to Grab a straw, you suck and 1st went to the Robinhood’s of Cellar Door- One crow short of a murder! By one point! Nice job!

Next week we start out with a first category, yes, it’s true. Tits Mcgee. Oh my, oh yes. Finally.

The Olney Tavern – Olney, MD

Folks, theres few things I like more in a round of live trivia than a good, old-fashioned tie!

It’s been awhile since we had one of those, but ooh, was it fun when we did get there.

Quiz in my Pants took a 12-point lead into the final, and feeling bold, opted with a 0 wager, forcing Only The Lonely to nail the final and wager 12 if they wanted a shot at glory.

Well, as the fates would have it, they DID hit that final 12-point answer, and we needed to settle things with a tiebreaker!

We ventured into a little more Gutenberg trivia, and though Only The Lonely had a very close answer, they CROSSED IT OUT and went with an incorrect one, leaving Quiz in My Pants atop the leaderboard!

Rounding out the podium in third place was the G Team! Good game guys!

First up next week is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Revolution Bar – Fairfax, Virginia

We had a close game of live trivia all night on this dreary Wednesday at the Revolution Bar! With all veteran teams tonight, it was a hard fought battle from the very beginning!

Highlights of the night:

Baby Gracie of Movin’ On Up became the youngest person ever to hand in an answer! With an assist from Mom of course…well really she did all the work, but I’m gonna count it anyway, because reasons.

I believe the consensus is in, that Audio Closest to the Pin is the Revolution Bar’s least favorite category, even if everyone got the answer right, with a couple exact answers!

It was also universally decided that while my initial “Hi ho, Kermit the Frog here,” impression is good, everything falls apart after that, and that I should stick with Marvin the Martian.

After four close rounds, a doozy of a puzzle page, and a 6-4-2 that saw everyone waiting for the two-point clue, we had one of the closest games we’ve seen at the Revolution Bar. But it would be the final that decided all.

In third place, the Revolutionaries! Good game guys, I know the back half was rough, but you put in a strong showing.

In second place, Movin’ On Up! After leading the whole game, it was a tough break on the final, but still a very good game.

Taking it down tonight, after several weeks of being in the hunt, with the only correct answer on the final came Mess and Jegg! Way to go guys, well earned and well deserved win!

Mess and Jegg have chosen the classic Robin Williams film “The Dead Poet’s Society” as their first round category for next week. Oh captain, my captain.

Get up on your desks and get studying, and we’ll see you next week.

Until then,
Ian

At T.J. Stone’s in Alexandria, we had a few old faces returning after a summer hiatus, and that helped fill the 10-team field for the night.  It was the B-58s who lead most of the evening, and was one of just three teams to pick the correct response on the final, so they took down another summer victory!  Wee Baby Seamus continued their stellar season run to take second, with We Need a Table / We Now Have a Table taking third.  Next week begins with a question on the Battle of Bladensburg (from the War of 1812).  See you then!  ~ Matt

Valley Grill – Middletown, MD

Great game of PHT out on the patio at Valley Grill Sports Bar in Middletown, here is how the game went down! Drunk Savants finished in 1st, Southpaw Fish hot on their heels for 2nd, and Fat Kids are Hard to Kidnap took 3rd. Our first category for next week is Robin Williams’ classic film, Dead Poets Society. ~ Ronnie
