Atlantic Grille in Urbana was the place to be for pub trivia tonight!
Newcomers Team Elvis took third place while Strangers Have the Best Candy and Team Jared battled it out for the top spot. In the end, it was the Strangers who took first with a combination of a strategic wager and a correct final answer!
Next week’s winners’ choice category takes us back to the SNL skit “Point/Counterpoint” with “Eric, You Ignorant Slut!”
And BAM! That was one great game of live trivia on this fine hump day! It was full of bed bugs, Birkenstocks, and “when I don’t know the answer I put stuff about your mom” jokes – in true Bernie’s trivia style! I actually got a couple of 2 point bonus answers to “Your Mom” that broke down new barriers and set new heights to what has been said about my dear mother. 🙂 Good stuff and a great Wednesday!
Slapsgiving came out of the gates tonight roaring! And they climbed to the top of the hill and held it. Then…Round 4 hit, “Birkenstocks” hit. A tough NBA question hit and after a game well played, Slapsgiving took a respectable 3rd Place. GG Slaps.
2nd Place tonight went to I am the Machine who edged their way in there and managed to stay consistent throughout tonight’s game and hold on! Nicely done IATM!
Our winners…what a game by Too Husky for Sandusky! They stayed in striking distance and then in round 4, put on a two-point bonus clinic – and helping to coin the new bar trivia term: “the late game thrust.”

Lots of placement swapping tonight, but after a long game it was Hot Dog Sitgmata who came out on top! 2nd place went to a well played game by Captain Awesome and the Wonder Friends. 3rd place went to the Z-Jay’s. The season is coming to an end, it’s getting super competitive. Bring your A games, teams! I’ll see ya next week.
One crow! One Crow Short of a Murder but not short on a three-peat! They took it wire to wire in tonight’s round of live trivia, setting up some pretty serious rivalry in the underground.
2nd went to Grab a Straw, You Suck and 3rd were the excited team of Loose Caboose!
They should be proud: the 12 team field at Cellar tonight was tight!
We had a rough one at Fast Eddie’s last night! Between a tough set and some technical difficulties, it was a tough round of pub quiz! When the dust settled, things went down like this:
In third place came Fake Block! Way to hang tough guys, good game!
In second place, Mess and Jeg! Good job guys!
And in first place, holding down the lead was Movin’ on Up for the second week running! Well played guys!
Movin on Up has chosen Animated Disney songs as their first round category for this week, so put on your Mickey Ears and have a movie marathon, and we’ll see you here next week!

We had quite a finish at T.J. Stone’s in Alexndria. The top of the field was separated by just a few ponts after round four, but when the top four teams all missed the final, it gave way to Virgins and Congress: Thanks for Nothing to steal first place after they came up with Fanastia as the correct final answer! The B-58s also snagged the final to take second (and put a stranglehold on the Season IX House Championship), while Wee Baby Seamus took third. Next week starts with a question on Star Wars (the non-crappy trilogy). ~ Matt
It was another close game of bar trivia at the Valley Grill Sports Bar here in Middletown as several teams maneuvered in and out of first.
It was Xavier Onassis that came out on top for tonight’s game, with Southpaw Fish hot on their heels for 2nd. Bernie Asshands played a tough game tonight, and finished in 3rd.
