A Wicked Finish to Wednesday Trivia!

Wednesday’s game of Pour House Trivia welcomed 113 teams across 16 venues:

FIRST ROUND:

Opening round topics from Wednesday included the harmonica, the White House Chief of Staff, and this cryptocurrency:

Bitcoin

A whopping 21 teams opened Wednesday night with a perfect first round score.

SECOND ROUND:

Wednesday’s audio question featured clips from three films in which the lead actor also served as director: “Braveheart”, “Zoolander”, and “Argo”.  Later, we remembered Ashlee Simpson’s embarrassing lip syncing episode from “Saturday Night Live”, discussed the colleges once known as the Seven Sisters, and quizzed our teams on this athlete who will soon become the first woman inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame:

Ronda Rousey

After a slight uptick in difficulty, only six teams ran the table in the second round.

HALFTIME:

Winners of the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actor / Actress were depicted on Wednesday’s halftime page, which yielded an average score of 16.4 points, with four teams recording perfect scores.  Here is Wednesday’s halftime leaderboard:

THIRD ROUND:

With confidence riding high after two rounds of play, many of our teams came back down to Earth after the first question of the second half, which proved to be the most difficult wagering question of the night.  On a three-part question regarding TV hosts, only 17% of our teams earned wagering points with two out of the three correct answers: Chris Harrison (of “The Bachelor” and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”), Bob Saget (of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” and “1 vs. 100”), and Brooke Burns (of “Dog Eat Dog” and “The Chase”).  Only five teams earned two bonus points with all three correct answers.  Most of our teams were able to recover by correctly answering questions concerning nitroglycerin and this retail chain:

Kmart

Thanks to the opening question of the round, none of our teams recorded a perfect third round score.

FOURTH ROUND:

Final round topics included the administration of Lyndon Johnson, pimiento peppers, and this video game:

Rocket League

With just five teams across the board earning bonus points by knowing that the video game “Rocket League” was developed by Psyonix, the final round did not see any perfect scores.  These were your highest scoring Wednesday teams after four rounds of play:

WEDNESDAY’S FINAL QUESTION (11.7% success rate):

–> As one of the highest trending terms of 2016, which word is translated from Swahili as ‘pull together’?

Only 13 teams gave us the correct response of Harambe.  As a result, none of our teams recorded the Perfect 21 on Wednesday with correct answers on all wagering question.  Here is your final overall leaderboard from Wednesday night:
