Pour House pub trivia‘s Tuesday brought out furious live trivia action at six venues!

Champion Billiards – Frederick, MD
Well it started out rough and that’s how it ended – but the joy was in the journey! It was a good game of pub quiz at Champions with teams all over the place, had a pretty big field battling it out for the top three tonight.
It was our juggernauts of Wiseacres back in the top slot tonight, and they played like they meant it… I don’t think they were very happy with the way last week turned out, so they came ready to throw down tonight!
Second went to W with a hard fought game to stay in that middle slot they know so well.
Third came down to a tie between Calvary Crushers and Big Money no Whammies, with Calvary Crushers taking the tiebreaker and grabbing that third and final prize.
Nice job tonight all, I will see you next week for Bauhaus Architecture. We all get to learn things 😉

Cugini’s Restaurant – Poolesville, MD
We had a number of new faces for tonight’s game of live trivia at Cugini’s in Poolesville, thanks so much for coming on out!
Lightfoot rallied late in the game to take 1st place, great job! It took a tiebreaker to settle 2nd and 3rd, with the results being MoMo and Drunk & Disorderly, respectively.
Our first category for next week is NFL Quarterbacks, see you then!

Hollywood Casino – Perryville, MD
It was a fun game of pub quiz tonight at Hollywood Casino! Just Us had a birthday tonight and they shared their cake! We had several new teams join us – welcome to Got Boxers and Infinity. Some old teams came back as well – Team Solo and Pinky and the Brain joined us after some time away.
If We Only Had a Brain is on a winning streak of pub quiz at the Hollywood Casino, and they took the top slot with 141.
Pomeranians maintained second place with 137, and Just us with 113.
Next week we are starting off with Celebrity Offspring, so pick up a People magazine!
Jekyll & Hyde Tavern – Frederick, MD
We had a great night of live trivia at Jekyll & Hyde tonight, with everyone enjoying the AC and cold drinks.
Taking third place tonight was Beer is Good! Great game! Second went to Black Steel, and finally first place tonight went to Brownie Points! Awesome job!
Next week’s first category is going to be a Song Lyrics from 1987 Audio Question, so study up and we’ll see you next week!

Ramparts Tavern – Alexandria, VA
Another great night of trivia at Ramparts as we begin to wind down our Summer season. Last week’s winners, Title One Forever, made a rare back-to-back appearance tonight, hoping to also make it back-to-back wins. They played an absolutely stellar game, which included a PERFECT second half and a score of 170 after round four! They were within range of the all-time Pour House Trivia single-game record, and made a bold wager in order to take it. But it was not to be, as a rather difficult final question slipped through their fingers. Only one team got the correct answer, but it was not enough to overtake our defending champs. So, it is now two in a row for Title One Forever! Second place went to the Stamp Collectors with Stairway to Kevin in third. Next week starts with a question on the very specific category of Famous Inappropriate Teacher-Student Relationships! I wasn’t going to go looking for a picture of that, so here’s a much more tame alternative. ~ Matt
Monkey La La – Frederick, MD
Belly buttons, Dr. Evil, and some champagne for a nightcap! Sounds like a Tuesday pub trivia at Monkey La La. And that it was! I had a couple of nice belly laughs tonight! So I thank you all for that! 🙂
Great game tonight as well! It was one of those contests that truly came down to the final question; and a number of teams could have sniped first! And 2 did! Yes TWO – from behind no less. And then the Jerry Rice tie breaker happened. EXCELLENT FINISH y’all… Here is how it went down…
