A soaking wet Tuesday of Pour House Pub Trivia!

What a night of trivia at Ramparts in Alexandria!  It was a stellar performance by the Stamp Collectors, as they roared out of the gate.  They missed only one possible point and had a record 93 points at halftime!  In spite of an aphrodisiac-related hiccup in round three, they managed to hold the lead heading into the final.  But, the final answer slipped through their fingers, and so it was Ramparting Ways (a.k.a. Redskins 1 – 0: Downhill From Here) that snuck in for tonight’s victory.  ALL CAPS played fantasticly as a duo to take second, with No Signal taking third over the Hop Devils on the tiebreaker.  Next week begins with a question on Van Halen with a musical clue!  ~ Matt

 

 

 

Monkey La La – Frederick, MD

 Gotta say…I thought our “Gold Digger” clue wins “Cutest Hint of the Year” so far! It definitely made me go “Awwww.” I also liked the “HOROBOD” – Robin Hood cryptic decoder! – took me back to my cereal box decoder ring days (meaning last week…don’t hate!). With all that, Charlie Brown, Standard and Poors and splash in some Kimchee and you gots the makings of one helva pub trivia contest! 

And indeed that’s what went down at Monkey La La Tuesday night. 14 teams filled up La La and threw down some trivia chops for a few. And with the flooding going on outside, we had some good ole fun inside. What a game it was…Much props to the folks of Esophagus Now, who went wire to wire against a tough company of trivia teams! GG Esophagus!

2nd Place was taken fown by our traveling duo of “None Pizza With Left Beef!”  – Thanks for popping by NPWLB 🙂

And 3rd was sniped! Little come from behind by our friends over at Spoony Richards. GG SPoony!
