A sad weekend for the Terps, but a great weekend of Pour House Trivia!

Pour House pub trivia‘s weekend went much better than the Terps, with three fabulous games of live trivia!

Captain Bender’s – Sharpsburg, MD​​

Another family style night of pub trivia at Captain Bender’s tonight!

The competition was steady and heated, but in the end there was a twist! In third place were our newer contenders, Red Palace! Just ahead of them in second was No Torie Us! But in a stunning upset, Boh’s & Hoes stole first place!!

Their choice of first category for next week? Caddyshack! See you next Sunday!

Avery’s Maryland Grille – Frederick, MD

It’s nice to start seeing some teams that used to only come to Avery’s Maryland Grill once every few weeks for live trivia start showing up on Sundays more and more frequently lately!

Fat Kids are Hard To Kidnap sorta came back this week to possibly get a 2nd win in as many weeks, only today, they signed up as Southpaw Fish?!

Anyway, it was a fun game of pub quiz tonight with some great movement (almost every round there were 2 teams tied for in a place for 2nd or 3rd), but, as per usual lately, the final question sorted out the top 3 without any ties(which I LOVE!).

This is how we ended up: Making a smart wager and jumping up to 3rd was the Vitrifiers! Holding 2nd after the final was the Witiots!! Maybe switching up the names isn’t such a terrible idea, because it TOTALLY worked for last Sunday’s champions! Only tonight they will celebrate the 1st place victory as Southpaw Fish!! If you win 1st place two weeks in a row but used a different name each time, does that still count as back-to-back wins? A little food for thought I guess…

Next week’s winner’s choice category will be “College Sports Logos” so keep those brains sharp and come get your trivia on at Avery’s next Sunday!!!
