Another great game of live trivia on the books here at DRP in Alexandria, and it took a tiebreaker between PTD and WCO to finally settle all of the action!
Here are the results of tonight’s game:
Jurassic Parks and Rec in 1st
MSC in 2nd
Periodic Table Dancers in 3rd
Our first category for next week is Batman from 1939 to Present.

il Forno – Frederick, MD
Another Monday night at Il Forno in the books as our live trivia game comes to a close! We had a large field of teams but would any of them be able to beat back-to-back winners Quick Pink and the Vine Gang? Well, let’s find out! Our runners up last week, I’m with Sarah were in fact WITHOUT Sarah tonight, which may play a factor in their performance. Still, the other regular teams looked like they were ready to compete.
Tonight’s question of the night goes to our Winner’s Choice question! The winner’s choice, chosen by QP was Screw “U” Bill, with the “U” in quotation marks. Not that the question was particularly good or bad, but the number of people who chose it as their 5 point bonus was pretty interesting to me. I only had 2 teams pick up points on this question, so a large number of 5 point bonuses were dropped after just the FIRST question! Chicken McThuggets and Quick Pink, the only 2 teams getting points on that one, came out strong with a lead early.
Quick Pink continued their dominating ways, up by 6 at halftime with an impressive 90 point score. Not far behind, in second place, was Chicken McThuggets. The second half didn’t seem to cause much distress at the QP table, maintaining their lead all the way through the 3rd round. The 6-4-2 caused a bit of a speed bump, as they went for the 6 and missed, but it didn’t hinder their advantage.
Going into the final question we had Quick Pink in first, Piggy Doodles moved up into 2nd, and 3rd was Chicken McThuggets. Piggy Doodles vowed to take the defensive zero wager. The final played about 50% tonight; here’s how the scores looked after the last question: 3rd place went to Piggy Doodles. 2nd place Chicken McThuggets. Winning tonight, 3 in a row for your boys Quick Pink & the Vine Gang! Someone needs to step up cause they aren’t backing down. We’ll see if this streak holds up, next Monday! See ya then guys 😉
1st Place: Quick Pink & the Vine Gang
2nd Place: Chicken McThuggets
3rd Place: Piggy Doodles
Next week: Screw You “Bill” (because apparently they hate me… :-p )
Roast House Pub – Frederick, MD
We had another hot round of live trivia at the Roast House tonight! I’m gonna go out on
a limb and say this place might just have the best competition in the
city 😉
Highlights of the Night:
In “Super-Trivia-Power-Team-Go”: Tonight, both shorthanded, John
Lithgow and the Ollie Monsters teamed up playing under the Monster’s
banner.
In “Holy-High-Scores-Batman”: We had five 20s on the puzzle page
tonight! That’s crazy! You guys aren’t backing down an inch! I love
it!
In “Must-Pretend-The-Answer’s-Not-On-TV”: Nothing is more tense than a
6-4-2 where the answer is on TV. Who planned that one??
The game was a roller coaster tonight; almost every team held a podium
spot at at least one point during the night!
In third place tonight, Cher’s Zaombie Army!
In second place tonight, Multiple Scorgasms!
In first place tonight, the super team Ollie Monsters!
Congratulations to my top teams! And a prompt damn it all Ollie
Monsters; they made their Winner’s Choice category: Ian Sings Kelly
Clarkson. *sighs* See you next week!
Until then,
Ian
Spider Kelly’s – Arlington, VA
At Spider Kelly’s in Clarendon, it was the second week in a row that High School Prom cruised to a comfortable lead as we headed into the final question. But for the second week in a row, HSP missed the final, only to have Jimmy’s in Vegas steal the win. Nice job! JIV is probably just happy that they do not have to deal with the tiebreaker question. This week however, HSP dropped back to fourth place as several other teams took down the final answer as well! Knowers of Stuff took second with Eleven is a Prime Number taking third on the tiebreaker. next week begins with a question on the Disney Channel! ~ Matt
