Saturday and Sunday night’s games of Pour House Trivia gave our regular players a chance to squeeze in an extra game in between their Halloween hangovers and their Election Night denial.  We managed to squeeze in a few Halloween leftovers in these sets, so let’s see which teams took down these questions with ease…

–> No teams were able to score a perfect 20 on the halftime page, but about 35% of our teams landed six points on the 6-4-2 question.

Belles’ Sports Bar in Frederick, MD

It was nice to see a number of familiar faces we haven’t seen in awhile here at Belles in Frederick, packing in for a little Saturday night PHT fever.  These teams pretty much breezed right through the first round with little resistance, however the final round really but the moves on a couple of teams going into the final.  It took a tiebreaker to settle 2nd and 3rd.  Here are the results:

Pretzel and Pizza Creations in Hagerstown, MD

We had a pretty good game on Saturday night at Pretzel & Pizza Creations!  Even though 1st place was pretty much sown up by one team after the 4th round, the fight for 2nd between two teams was super close all game!  After the final, we had a few of our teams pick up the correct responses of Arabic and Spanish.  So we had our final winners: Off Beats in 3rd, Sanford & Son took 2nd, and Give Us Your Beer Money once again had the win! They picked “Gilligan’s Island” for next weeks winners choice, so study up, and join us next Saturday night for some fun at Pretzel & Pizza Creations!!

Captain Benders Tavern in Sharpsburg, MD

We had lots of energy in the house for our pre-election edition of trivia at Captain Benders!  With a couple of newbies in the house, things started off with a bit more competition than usual.  We started the first round with a question on “Ender’s Game”, and ended it with a little liquor.  Then we dove into our audio question to start Round 2 with a little Rock n’ Roll and wrapped it up with some Superhero Actors.  The halftime went two ways for you guys… really well or… not so much. So we set up Round 3 for some redemption.  We began with some F-Words (my personal favorite) and finished it up some Films of the 1990s.

The 6-4-2 question puzzled a few of you, but no one needed the 2-point clue this week. As we began Round 4 with U.S. Geography, some of you got a little nervous, but by the last Sports question you were back on track.  Our final category tonight was Halloween Leftovers and you guys did NOT disappoint.  So what did the standings look like?

First Place:  Fisted Sister

Second Place:  Boh’s & Hoes

Third Place:  What Else Could It Be?!

Next week’s first category:  Triple 50/50 (Pro Wrestler or Adult Film Star?)

The Beacon in Frederick, MD

 

I had a great surprise at our Sunday game at The Beacon! A team I haven’t seen in about a year decided to come out and say “Hey!”. After all was said and done, they even walked out with 2nd place! Finishing 3rd was the Survivors, it was SUPER great seeing Cap’n Crunch & The Cereal Killers in 2nd, and another big 1st place victory went to the Witiots!! By the way Matt, they were VERY happy with the creativeness of your winners choice question, so they are challenging you with next weeks choice of “Triple 50-50:Shit or Shinola”!
