A little rain can’t stop Pour House Pub Trivia! Thursday recap!
Pour House pub trivia’s Thursday might have been slowed by the rain, but it’ll never stop us!
Check out how it all went down!
Whew I thought I was going to get whisked away to OZ before I got a chance to get down to Bunker for our live trivia game. What a storm! It was stormy inside as well as these teams battled about for the win! Here are the results of tonight’s showdown:
Your Mom in 1st
Washington Foreskins in 2nd
The Indians in 3rd
Our first category for next week is The Big Lebowski.
I will see you next Thursday for some fun and craziness. We kick that one off with Civil War Battles. Until then, be wonderful like you are!
Have a great weekend everyone and I will see you soon. DG
HOLY HOCKEY GAME BATMAN! Though, nothing can trump a game of Pour House pub trivia, the hockey game came real close! Scoring to win the game with about 0.1 seconds left?? That was epic. The bar was raging tonight, some for hockey, but happy to see most for live trivia. We had double digits here tonight at the Fish Market, and the chaos was felt. Screaming, playing, partying, it was just a whole fiesta here! It was great! Not to mention the patented 90’s hits playlist was rockin’ ALL NIGHT tonight. Man, just real good stuff. Tonight’s question of the night was World Geography, where is the Serengeti? Lots of teams pulling the trigger going for the 2 point bonus saying KENYA. Though the Serengeti has PARTS in Kenya, the national park resides primarily in Tanzania. This question did some serious damage, ruining the hopes and dream of many of the teams tonight. Rising to the top tonight was 2 Birds One Stone, who kept poise throughout the game, missing barely anything as the set beat up on the teams in the field. A strong lead, and a correct response on the final locked the game for them! 2nd place went to Welcome To you’re Doom, who was the only other team to get a correct response on the final. 3rd place was tied between veteran teams You’re Killin’ Me Smalls and Boner Garage. Smalls edged out the Boner for a finish in the prize money! Great game tonight. Our teams are starting to show their post-season prowess here in the last stretch of the season. Hopefully good play transfers well come the end of May. Until next week guys, I’ll talk to ya soon!
1st Place: 2 Birds 1 Stone
2nd Place: Welcome to You’re Doom
3rd Place: You’re Killin’ Me Smalls
Next week’s category: Celebrity Net Worths
Another great game of live trivia at Guido’s Speakeasy is in the books and tallied up!
We’re getting closer and closer to the World Series for season 12 so each week feels bigger than the last! The top 3 teams get the bigger team points, and this Thursday, these were the results… Finishing 3rd was T.N.C.! 2nd place was taken by Friends of Dick Johnson!! Our 1st place winners are making their move to be this seasons house champs and get that free pass straight to the World Series game:Not Quite White!!!
They also decided to go with “Ace of Base” for next weeks winners choice category, so study up and get back to Guido’s next week!

Thanks to the kind folks of Lake Linganore for having me to their game of trivia tonight. It was a pleasure mixing it up with you all this evening! I definitely enjoyed my time hosting this evening.
And what a game it was! It was certainly a topsy-turvy contest with some tough questions popping up here and there – tough is good though! My fave answers of the night have to be:
Mrs. Hannigan – even though it reminded of me NOT getting the Daddy Warbucks role in my 3rd grade production of Annie.
– Play-doh! – Who doesn’t like Play-doh!
– And “Asada” has put me in a Mexican food mood; and I think I will indulge that urge this weekend!
And going into the tough Brussels final tonight it was still a good up in the air contest! We had some strategery go down in the wagers. And once all the answers – and 2nd Place tie-breaker – were resolved our leader board looked like this:
1st Place: Faking Bad
2nd: Moose and Squirrel
3rd: Sangria Syndicate
Thanks again everyone for coming out to play some trivia with us tonight, and thank you again for having me at your game. Eric will be back next Thursday and will kick off that game with a question in the category of Trigonometry. Until we meet again,be well! See you soon DG 🙂
Oh my, what a crowd at Quincy’s in Gaithersburg! We had 17 teams cram in for a little trivia (and maybe some hockey). It proved to be an interesting night, as teams got bold with some of their wagers, which led to some unfortunate results. Teams were surprised to hear that no one from the film “Frozen” is considered an OFFICIAL Disney Princess, and that Pinnacle makes many more flavors of vodka than any other brand. We had a two way tie going into first place on the final question, but it was a strategic wager by Stone Cold Jane Austen that actually proved to be the smartest play of the night. They took down the win after finishing second last week. I Just Quizzed My Pants took second after securing the tiebreaker over Short Bus. Next week, we begin with a question on the TV show “Peaky Blinders”. ~ Matt
