The Madness of Thursday Night Trivia!

March 16, 2018 by Pour House Trivia

The backdrop of the NCAA basketball tournament didn’t keep the crowds away, as we welcomed 113 teams across 14 venues on Thursday night:

ROUND 1:

Thursday’s game began with a look at the multi-continental city of Istanbul, followed by a sports question in the Triple 50/50 format.  We asked our teams whether or not the outer lines are IN or OUT in the respective sports of tennis, basketball, and volleyball.  Most of the field had no trouble coming up with three correct answers to earn a two-point bonus.  We continued with this question on foreign companies:

–> In which foreign country would you find the company which bore the original name Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services?

The common name of this company was formed as an acronym of its original name:

Qantas

After closing the round with a question on the film work of Harrison Ford, we saw 14 teams earn perfect first round scores.

ROUND 2:

Thursday’s audio question featured three bands with excessively long names: Queens of the Stone Age (“No One Knows”), The Presidents of the United States of America (“Lump”), and Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (“If You Leave”).  Yes, that last one is spelled correctly… the Brits toss in an extra ‘O’.  Regardless of the spelling, only 14% of our teams earned bonus points with three correct answers.  After a question on early video games, we quizzed our teams on the TV roles of actress Kaley Cuoco.  Once again, this question included a rather difficult bonus question, as just nine teams knew that Kaley was once married to professional tennis star Ryan Sweeting.  We closed with the most difficult wagering question of the first half:

–> Respectively composed by Verdi, Puccini, and Bizet, these three works are often referred to as the “ABCs” of opera.  For your wager, name any two of these three works.

With a niche topic such as opera, we saw many ‘all-or-nothing’ responses from the field.  Most teams either knew all three titles, or did not earn any points after failing to arrive at any two of these three correct answers:

Aida Boheme Carmen

Thanks to the first two bonus questions, the second round did not yield any perfect scores.

HALFTIME:

We took a trip around the world on Thursday’s halftime page, asking our teams to recognize clothing from foreign countries.  With an average score of 16.5 points, we saw 13% of the field record perfect scores.  Here are Thursday’s top scores after the first half:

  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  90
  • Your Mom (Bunker Sports):  90
  • The Gang Wins the Super Bowl (Olde Mother):  90
  • Scoobies (Smoketown Brewing):  88
  • 1-2-3 Drink (Cushwa Brewing):  88

ROUND 3:

Thursday’s second half opened with this question on romantic drama films:

–> Both released in the 21st century, name either one of the two most recent films to feature Richard Gere and Diane Lane in the lead roles.

Apparently, this genre is not a favorite among our teams, as just eight teams could come up with both correct answers: “Unfaithful” and “Nights in Rodanthe”.  Later, we looked at the multiple uses of the phrase “brick house” before looking at the islands of Hawaii, the hormone Oxytocin, and the early career work of this rapper (and former teen actor):

Drake

Back then, Drake was known as Aubrey Graham when he portrayed Jimmy Brooks on the Canadian TV franchise “Degrassi”.  Despite that fact that the most recent incarnation currently appears on Netflix, only nine teams earned the final bonus points of the third round by knowing that this current show carries the subtitle “Next Class”.  As a result, none of our teams ran the table with a perfect third round.

ROUND 4:

Normally, our nightly Three Clues question tends to be a popular choice for the potential five-point category bonus, but the teams that went that route on Thursday might have regretted that decision, as this edition proved to be one of the most difficult wagering questions of the night:

CLUE 1: The title of the Mariah Carey album released in November of 1994.

CLUE 2: This phrase comprised the first text message in history.

CLUE 3: These two words follow this 2017 tweet: “I am proud to have led the charge against the assault of our cherished and beautiful phrase”.

Even after hearing all three clues, less than one-third of our teams answered correctly with “Merry Christmas”:

Mariah

We closed with a figure skating question that surprised many of our teams in that very few people knew the correct spelling of the term salchow.  Thanks to the Three Clues question, only one team earned a perfect final round score: the aptly named All My Rexes Live in Texas (Fish Market).  These were your top Thursday scores after the fourth round:

  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  162
  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  158
  • Washington Foreskins (Bunker Sports):  158
  • Harsh Reality (Beef O’ Brady’s):  156
  • Your Mom (Bunker Sports):  156

FINAL QUESTION (10.7% success rate):

–> The filmmaking of Andrei Tarkovsky, the paintings of Caravaggio, and the writing of Gabriel Garcia Marquez are all referenced in which music video that won the 1991 MTV Video of the Year Award?

Thursday’s final question was unexpectedly difficult, as we barely cracked double digits with the number of correct answers.  The Madonna video “Like a Prayer” does include a wide array of allegorical imagery, but that video (which also won the MTV Video of the Year Award) was just a couple years older.  Instead, we were looking for the R.E.M. song “Losing My Religion”:

Losing My Religion

Congratulation to PC Principals (Fish Market) and Your Mom (Bunker Sports), who were the only teams to record the Perfect 21 on Thursday with correct answers on all wagering questions.  Here are your top overall scores from Thursday:

  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  170
  • Quiz In My Pants (Cushwa Brewing):  160
  • Uranus Fly Trap (Smoketown Brewing):  159
  • Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards):  159

  • Your Mom (Bunker Sports):  158
  • All My Rexes Live in Texas (Fish Market):  156
  • Slapsgiving (Cushwa Brewing):  155
  • Lowered Expectations (Quincy’s):  154
  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  153

A Record-Setting Thursday Night!

March 9, 2018 by Pour House Trivia

Thursday night saw another HUGE opening night, as host Kyle welcomed 13 teams to our first game at the Dawg House in Waynesboro!  Meanwhile, the arrival of a new team at Fish Market in Alexandria led to a record-breaking scoreboard.  All told, Thursday’s game featured 118 teams across 14 venues:

ROUND 1:

There were no surprises with Thursday’s first round, as our teams had an easy time navigating through topics such as restaurant chains, Brazilian geography, and U.S. Presidents.  We closed the opening stanza with our nightly Three Clues question, which focused on a particular language:

CLUE 1: The Spanish words for ‘chess’, ‘vegetable oil’, and ‘sugar’ all derive from this language.

CLUE 2: Its dialects include Maghrebi, Sudanese, and Levantine.

These two clues were enough for about one-third of our teams to earn bonus points with the early correct answer of Arabic.  The first round yielded an impressive 23 perfect scores.

ROUND 2:

Thursday’s audio question gave most of our teams their first speed bump of the night, as we played three songs whose titles each contain the word “LOVE”.  The field had no problem recognizing “Love Hurts”  by Nazareth and “What is Love” by Haddaway, bu the recent Demi Lovato hit “Tell Me You Love Me” was far more difficult, leading to just 11% of our teams earning bonus points with three correct answers.  Later, we asked our teams to name the ACC squad which is currently the top-ranked college basketball team in the country.  Sorry, Duke and UNC fans, it’s this team currently topping the polls:

UVA Basketball

Once again, this query included another difficult bonus question, as only 19% of the field knew that Tony Bennett (no, not that one) is the current head basketball coach at the University of Virginia.  We closed the first half with a look at this TV show which airs its 100th episode later tonight:

Agents of SHIELD

A trio of difficult bonus questions meant that two teams swept the second round with a perfect score: Lowered Expectations (Quincy’s) and Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market).

HALFTIME:

Thursday’s halftime page featured visual representations of cocktails (e.g. a picture of Vladimir Putin = White Russian), while the bottom half asked our teams to name the nine cities which are home the country’s busiest airports.  Our average score landed at 16.2 points, which is certainly within the normal range, but with these list questions, it can be very difficult to earn a perfect score.  Such was the case tonight, as we saw a slew of 18s and 19s, but no perfect scores.  The appearance of Seattle-Tacoma and Devner took most of our teams by surprise.  Here are Thursday’s top scores after the first half:

  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  90
  • Super Best Friends (Fish Market):  90
  • Lowered Expectations (Quincy’s):  87
  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  87
  • SEVEN TEAMS TIED WITH 86 POINTS

ROUND 3:

Thursday’s third round featured a question which resulted in one of the most unique outcomes we have ever seen at Pour House Trivia.  First off, here’s the question:

–> Freddie Prinze Sr. and Jack Albertson starred as the two title characters on which NBC sitcom of the 1970s?

Overall, about half of our teams responded with this correct answer:

Chico and the Man

At two of our venues, this question yielded ZERO correct answers, while at two other venues, this question yielded ZERO incorrect answers!  The wonders of customer demographics…  We closed the round with a look at Peruvian Prime Ministers and Harry Potter actors.  The third round yielded nine perfect scores.

ROUND 4:

The final round included questions on Augusta National Golf Club, the final symphony composed by Beethoven, and this sweet treat:

Confetti Cake

After closing the round with a question on Berkshire Hathaway (and its CEO Warren Buffett), we saw a whopping 15 teams sweep the final round on Thursday night, including six teams at Quincy’s in Gaithersburg.  These were your top Thursday scores after the fourth round:

  • Super Best Friends (Fish Market):  166
  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  164
  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  163
  • Fan Club (Quincy’s):  162
  • Tickle My Pickle (Fish Market):  162

FINAL QUESTION (57.4% success rate):

–> The current logo of which professional sports franchise includes a trio of four-cusped hypocycloids?

Just over half of our teams arrived at the two correct answers of the Pittsburgh Steelers:

Steelers

So that’s what those things are called!!  Congratulations to the four teams that earned the Perfect 21 with correct answers on all wagering questions: Fan Club (Quincy’s), Super Best Friends (Fish Market), Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market), and PC Principals (Fish Market).  We did mention that this was a record-setting night of trivia, so here are the feats we witnessed last night:

–> Super Best Friends sets a record for the highest score (177) by a team making its PHT debut.

–> For the first time in history, three teams from the same venue (Fish Market) scored at least 175 points.

–> Tickle My Pickle sets a PHT record for the highest score (174) by a team that did NOT win a prize.

We’re not sure what’s in the beer at Fish Market, but this venue easily boasts the most difficult competition.  Here are your top overall scores from Thursday:

  • Super Best Friends (Fish Market):  177
  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  176
  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  175
  • Fan Club (Quincy’s):  174
  • Tickle My Pickle (Fish Market):  174
  • Lowered Expectations (Quincy’s):  172
  • Breadsticks (Quincy’s):  169
  • Uranus Fly Trap (Smoketown Brewing):  169
  • This is How We Go Down (Champion Billiards):  163
  • We Drink and We Know Things (Smoketown Brewing):  160

A Lesson in Inflation at Thursday Night Trivia!

March 2, 2018 by Pour House Trivia

Seven of our 13 Thursday venues packed in more than ten teams this week, leading to a total field size of 116 teams!  This larger field gave us some extremely impressive scores:

ROUND 1:

Thursday’s first round was a breeze for our teams, as we quizzed the field on words that begin and end with the letter ‘A’, the notable quotation supposedly spoken by Marie Antoinette (though probably not), and these two characters from the Hundred Acre Wood:

Kanga and Roo

The only hiccup for most squads was the first bonus question of the round.  Most of the field knew that Jimmy Kimmel would once be hosting this year’s Academy Awards ceremony, but only 23% of our teams earned bonus points by also knowing that Billy Crystal was the most recent celebrity to host consecutive Oscars ceremonies.  We saw 16 teams rack up perfect first round scores.

ROUND 2:

Thursday’s audio question featured karaoke versions of “Africa” (Toto), “Radioactive” (Imagine Dragons), and “Chandelier” (Sia).  After discussing the Oxford comma (see the previous sentence) and the upcoming remake version of the film “Death Wish”, we closed with a question on boxing champ Mike Tyson, which provided the most difficult bonus question of the first half.  Only eight teams could name Iron Mike’s opponent in his first fight after being released from prison – the rather forgettable Peter McNeeley:

Tyson McNeeley

Three teams swept the second round with a perfect score: Fan Club (Quincy’s), Title Titans (Quincy’s), and Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market).

HALFTIME:

Thursday’s halftime page featured pictures of vehicles from TV and film juxtaposed with a matching section on sports nicknames.  Nineteen teams snagged recorded perfect scores, while the overall average came in at 16.8 points.  Here are Thursday’s top scores after the first half:

  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  93
  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  91
  • Lowered Expectations (Quincy’s):  90
  • Title Titans (Quincy’s):  90
  • Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards):  90
  • No Fruit No Karaoke (Champion Billiards):  90
  • Just Good Enough (Champion Billiards):  90

ROUND 3:

Thursday’s second half opened with a question on this late 1980s British band:

Fine Young Cannibals

Most of the field knew that the #1 hit “She Drives Me Crazy” was recorded by Fine Young Cannibals, but only 17% of our teams tacked on two bonus points by also knowing the band’s other #1 hit: “Good Thing”.  Next up was our most difficult wagering question of the night, which came in the form of an A+B=C question:

Part A = In Greek mythology, Hercules was forced to perform this many labors as penance.

Part B = It’s the number of sides on a dodecagon.

Part A was seemingly easier (12), but most of our teams thought that the doecagon had 20 sides, leading the most common wrong answer of 32.  Sorry, but the term for a 20-sided figure is icosagon.  The dodecagon has only 12 sides, leading to the correct answer of 24.  Only 16% of our teams earned points here.  Later, we discussed the “literary” work of Paris Hilton, famous people named Mitch, and this American landmark:

Pettus Bridge

The early portion of the round did most of the damage here, as the third stanza did not yield any perfect scores.

6-4-2:

Thursday’s 6-4-2 question was gave us one of the more interesting outcomes from recent games.  Let’s start with the six-point clue:

–> On the current version of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”, a contestant earns this much money after one correct answer.

The prize structure on the game show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” has changed several times over the last decade, including a time during which the first question actually resulted in a random dollar amount.  This first clue did not yield many guesses, with most teams waiting until the four-point clue to turn in an answer:

–> On the current version of “The Price is Right”, a player in contestant’s row wins this bonus amount with a bid that is exactly right.

The wrong answers poured in after this clue.  Sure, when you were growing up, the prize was $100 for a perfect bid, but for nearly 20 years, “The Price is Right” has offered $500 for this feat.  As are a result, we saw 64% of our teams earn ZERO points on this question, with just five teams earning six points.

ROUND 4:

The final round included questions on the the range of male singing voices, a Three Clues question concerning the Korean War, and this engineering marvel:

Airbus Emirates

The most difficult bonus question of the round was asked on a question concerning the Space Race, as only nine teams knew that the Columbia was the name of the Apollo 11 module in which pilot Michael Collins orbited the Moon (while Armstrong and Aldrin were on its surface).  With that, we saw just four perfect final round scores: Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards), No Fruit No Karaoke (Champion Billiards), Pugalicious (Beef O’ Brady’s), and Scooby Snacks (Smoketown Brewing).  These were your top Thursday scores after the fourth round:

  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  162
  • Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards):  160
  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  159
  • Just Good Enough (Champion Billiards):  158
  • Lowered Expectations (Quincy’s):  157

FINAL QUESTION (50.0% success rate):

–> What are the TWO most populous countries on Earth whose capital cities share the same first letter as their country name?

Exactly half of our teams arrived at the two correct answers of Brazil (capital of Brasilia) and Mexico (capital of Mexico City).  With a slightly easier final question, we saw seven teams earn the Perfect 21 with correct answers on all wagering questions.  Here are your top overall scores from Thursday:

  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  172
  • Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards):  171
  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  171
  • Just Good Enough (Champion Billiards):  170
  • Lowered Expectations (Quincy’s):  169
  • Your Mom (Bunker Sports Cafe):  169
  • Harsh Reality (Beef O’ Brady’s):  168
  • Clever Team Name (Quincy’s):  168
  • Brady’s Deflated Balls (Bunker Sports Cafe):  168
  • FOUR TEAMS TIED WITH 167 POINTS

TONIGHT’S WINNERS:

Rolling in the Deep with Thursday Night Trivia!

February 23, 2018 by Pour House Trivia

More than half of our 13 Thursday night venues welcomed at least ten teams last night, leading to a total of 107 teams across the board:

ROUND 1:

We began Thursday’s opening round with its most difficult bonus question.  After asking a relatively easy question  on the Red Sea, we asked our teams to name either one of the two countries (other than Egypt and Sudan) which have a shoreline on the Red Sea.  Only 19% of our teams came up with one of these two correct answers:

Red Sea

Later, we looked at three uses for the word nano, and the work of TV’s favorite neighbor Fred Rogers.  After one round of play, nine teams began their game with a perfect score.

ROUND 2:

Thursday’s audio question featured clips of songs with “astronomical” titles.  Most of our teams earned their wagers by recognizing “Drops of Jupiter” (Train) and “Walking on the Sun” (Smash Mouth) , but “We Are All Made of Stars” (Moby) was far more obscure, leading to just nine teams earning bonus points.  Next up, we asked our teams to name the home country of the world’s most famous Olympic flag bearer:

Tonga

After representing Tonga at the 2016 Summer Olympics, athlete Pita Taufatofua amazingly qualified for the 2018 Winter Olympics as a cross-country skier (despite having never skied before 2017).  We closed the first half with a look at this film based on the work of Stephen King:

Green Mile

Only seven teams picked up bonus points on this question, by knowing that the film “The Green Mile” was set in Louisiana.  With a pair of difficult bonus questions to bookend the round, we did not see any perfect scores in the second stanza.

HALFTIME:

Celebrities with animal names and losing Vice presidential candidates were the subjects on Thursday’s halftime page.  More than a dozen teams recorded perfect scores, while the overall average clocked in at 17.1 points.  Here are Thursday’s top scores after the first half:

  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  90
  • Lowered Expectations (Quincy’s):  90
  • Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards):  88
  • Washington Irving (Fish Market):  87
  • SIX TEAMS TIED WITH 86 POINTS

ROUND 3:

Thursday’s second half opened with a question on this celebrity entrepreneur:

Diddy Combs Ciroc

After questions on mitochondria and foreign cuisine, we posed the most difficult wagering question of the night:

–> Used as a reference to one’s youth or heyday, which phrase traces its origins to Act 1, Scene 5 of Shakespeare’s “Antony and Cleopatra”?

Only 22% of our teams earned points with the correct answer of salad days.  We followed up the night’s most difficult wagering question with its most difficult bonus question.  After most teams recognized the film resume of Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer, only THREE teams knew that her character in the film “The Shape of Water” is named Zelda.  As a result, the third round did not yield any perfect scores.

ROUND 4:

The final round included questions on the derivation of the word velcro, the Parthenon, and this three-part question with three rhyming answers:

1)  Similar in appearance to a tomato, this is the fruit of a rose.

2)  This term is used to describe the dots found on dice and dominoes.

3)  According to rapper Silentó, you can watch him (THIS), and then watch him nae nae (“NAY-NAY”)”.

After revealing the answers of hip, pip, and whip, we saw five teams sweep the final round with a perfect score of 36 points.  There were your top Thursday scores after the fourth round:

  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  165
  • Washington Irving (Fish Market):  161
  • Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards):  160
  • Uranus Fly Trap (Smoketown Brewing):  155
  • Your Mom (Bunker Sports Cafe):  154

FINAL QUESTION (17.4% success rate):

–> Last month, Bruno Mars became the ninth musical act to win Grammy Awards for Record, Album, and Song of the Year on the same night.  Which solo artist is the only person to accomplish that feat on two separate occasions?

About one-sixth of our teams responded correctly with Adele, whose Grammy wins in 2012 and 2017 earned her this unique distinction.  Congratulations to Breadsticks (Quincy’s), as the only team to earn the only Perfect 21 with correct answers on all wagering questions.  Here are your top overall scores from Thursday:

  • Uranus Fly Trap (Smoketown Brewing):  166
  • Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards):  160
  • Breadsticks (Quincy’s):  160
  • Washington Foreskins (Bunker Sports Cafe):  160

Caught in a Web of Thursday Night Trivia!

February 16, 2018 by Pour House Trivia

An intriguing final question resulted in plenty of shifting in the final standings at many of our Thursday venues, as we welcomed 102 teams across 13 venues:

ROUND 1:

Thursday’s game began with a question on this “father of modern conjuring”:

Houdini

Only 22% of our teams earned the first two-point bonus of the night by knowing that Harry Houdini was born in Hungary (with the real name of Eric Weisz).  Later, we traveled back to 1979 and enjoyed a B-52 cocktail, before closing the opening stanza with a question on the great state of Iowa.  After only 17% of our teams could name of either one of Iowa’s two current U.S. Senators (Joni Ernst or Chuck Grassley), we saw seven teams begin their night with a perfect score of 36 points.

ROUND 2:

Thursday’s audio question featured clips from three TV sitcoms: “The Jeffersons”, “Night Court”, and “Scrubs”.  We kept the laughs rolling with a look at the Bo Derek film “10”, and quizzed our teams on this Olympic sport sometimes called “Chess On Ice”:

Curling

Finally, we asked our teams to name any two of the three solo artists who teamed up to record the #1 hit “All For Love”.  It’s only been about 25 years, but these names escaped many of our teams:

All For Love

Yes, that’s Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, and Sting.  With only about one-quarter of our teams earning bonus points with three correct answers, the second round yielded just five perfect scores.

HALFTIME:

Mononymous celebrities and ‘T’ animals were the subjects of Thursday’s halftime page.  By far, the most difficult picture on this round was the topi:

Topi

With only a handful of teams recognizing this bovine, we did not see any perfect halftime scores.  More than a dozen teams notched 19 points, so the overall average remained in the ‘normal’ range at 16.5 points.  Here are Thursday’s top scores after the first half:

  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  91
  • Dilly Dilly (Belly Love Brewing):  89
  • Syn Storm (Champion Billiards):  89
  • Lowered Expectations (Quincy’s):  89
  • FOUR TEAMS TIED WITH 87 POINTS

ROUND 3:

Thursday’s third round included questions on the continuing investigation into the death of film star Natalie Wood, the South African rooibos tea, and the distinctive soles of shoe designer Christian Louboutin:

Louboutin

The third round went a bit easy on our teams compared to most nights, as five teams turned in perfect scores.

ROUND 4:

The final round included this question on folk tales which stumped a fair number of our teams:

–> The magical phrase “open sesame” first appears in the tale of what folk hero?

It looks like more than a few players mixed up their fictional Arabian characters, answering Aladdin instead of the correct answer of Ali Baba.  Later, we asked about the NFL’s Man of the Year Award, which was re-named in honor of this “sweet” Hall of Famer:

Walter Payton

Once again, we saw more perfect scores than usual to close Thursday’s game, with six teams answering all three bonus questions correctly in the final round.  While each round yielded several perfect scores, PC Principals (Fish Market) recorded 36 points in ALL FOUR ROUNDS, becoming the first team to accomplish that feat in Season XVII, while standing just three points off of a perfect game heading into the final question.  Here are Thursday’s top scores after the fourth round:

  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  167
  • Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards):  161
  • Uranus Fly Trap (Smoketown Brewing):  160
  • Coco Beware (Olde Mother Brewing):  158
  • Dilly Dilly (Belly Love Brewing):  158
  • Fan Club (Quincy’s):  158

FINAL QUESTION (42.7% success rate):

–> Though she is not one of the two main characters, a young girl named Fern Arable plays a key role in which 20th century children’s novel?

In the opening chapter, Fern saves a small piglet named Wilbur from being slaughtered, setting off the chain of events in the book “Charlotte’s Web”.  A number of our first-place teams missed this final question, leading to several come-from-behind victories.  The seemingly impenetrable force that is PC Principals was one of those teams who lost their lead.  As a result, Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards) recorded the only Perfect 21 with correct answers on all wagering questions.  Here are your top overall scores from Thursday:

  • Coco Beware (Olde Mother Brewing):  170
  • Brother of Menelaus (Fish Market):  168
  • Power Vacuum (Champion Billiards):  165
  • PC Principals (Fish Market):  164
  • Uranus Fly Trap (Smoketown Brewing):  163
  • We Drink and We Know Things (Smoketown Brewing):  163
  • Breadsticks (Quincy’s):  163
  • Harsh Reality (Beef O’ Brady’s ):  161
  • FIVE TEAMS TIED WITH 158 POINTS

An honorable mention goes out to Washington Foreskins (Bunker Sports Cafe), who notched 169 points while playing ‘over the limit’.
